http://www.siliconera.com/2011/11/02/is-dead-world-the-sequel-to-dead-island/ I guess a much larger sequel is on the way.
I hope they put a much larger ammount of polish into it. Dead Island was great while it lasted, except some small quirks and hicups. They have to step it up a level to make the sequel an actually interesting game.
this. also the whole weapon degradation thing was seriosly messed up. they need to have different systems for different material weapons. iron weapons shouldn't break that easily.
Go get a meat slicer and see how many heads and arms and legs you can chop off before it bends and gets blunt. 1? 10? 100? I think it was well balanced, the workbenches are all over the place.
that's a knife, and it's made out of steel. iron and steel are two different things. and when i said iron, i was mostly talking about the crowbar or the italian plumber wich breaks in the same amount of hits as let's say a cudgel or baseball bats. Iron>Wood.
it was alright, but could've but a lot better. for one, the character models (non zombies) were laughable but the kinda fun and enjoyable gameplay made up for it.
Well Hopefully it will be better. It was there first HUGE game and they did pretty with it. Now they have the engine and basic gameplay down. I'm sure the sequel will be a lot more polished and add some features that will make it much much better.
While I loved Spec Ops: The Line for it's story, gameplay wise is was... only so/so. I'm not exactly sure how I feel about a sequel to Dead Island being done by a different studio on a different engine.
a new dead island! hope it will be better than the old one . and hope there will be some good co-op systems
Agreed. Even knives, machetes and axes broke after killing several zombies. There are plenty of work benches but iron/metal weapons degraded far too quick.
Dying Light is being made by Techland and published by Warner Bros. Deep Silver owns the Dead Island IP, and they have hired Yager to make the sequel on the Unreal Engine 4. Yeah, Techland made the first one and Riptide, but... seems Deep Silver didn't want to wait for Techland to be available.
I'm not a big fan of DI series but that trailer is the bomb, lmao... :giggle2: I will keep an eye on this.
