Same, facebook became a freaking disease. Other than that, those screenshots look a bit dissapointing almost like the GFX havn't been maxed out. If you look at previous screenshots on their site they look a lot better.
Well ye, i will give it a shot Just because i had such a great great time playing HL1 + Expansions back in the day. Tho my interest in shooters is nearly gone since BF2. But i will try
Ye, checked their site yesterday for some news. But it's the same for the last 25 years. I would give it a try but in about 2 months i'm gonna be hooked on WoW again.
Yup, ValveTime jumped the gun, even after the BM team requested that they hold off on publishing the footage. http://forums.blackmesasource.com/showpost.php?p=474601&postcount=364
It's sad how the former HL2.net Valvetime can't even manage to keep up the appearance of being a respectable forum. Oh they're just so professional at VT.net. But apparently, BMS' Raminator has talked things out with senior VT staff. Another effing BMS soap.
If you put 8 years of your life into something, wouldn't you want someone to handle info about it as you originally asked them to? And so what if it's a mod. Looks to have better production values then a lot of AAA releases.
It's not a mod, its a re-creation. Mod < Part conversion < Full conversion < Re-creation Mod (any mod < (for example) Maldo Mod for Crysis 2 < Half Life 2 CM < Black Mesa That does not mean Black Mesa is better than Half Life 2 CM, nor does it mean the Maldo mod isn't any good, its just a generalisation of the change in the game and the effort involved. Almost all mods are just mods. There are very few part conversions (big full texture changes for example), even fewer full conversions (CM, I guess you could consider GTA 3/San Andreas on RAGE engine as this also, and re-creations, I guess Black Mesa is alone there. This is for people doing it out of enthusiasm, not game company's doing it for money. Wasn't there the rumour of a new Source engine? Maybe they'll move Black Mesa onto it I could wait another couple of months if that were the case.
Hmm? Most mod teams already require you to sign an NDA if you join the team. I base that on personal experience and I might be wrong too
