ATI Catalyst 9.4 driver Download and Discussion

I just downloaded the WHQL drivers about 10 minutes ago and they seem fine, 3Dmk06 is about the same but I give a rat's arse about benchmark scores, really I do!

 

These are the same as the beta, exactly the same.

 

Am I the only one that thinks the new Overdrive seriously sucks? It doesn't show any kind of a progress bar, I let it sit for about half an hour until I hit escape, it had overclocked one of my GPU's and the 2nd one was half way through the ram. What a waste of time, it was already set to the clock speeds I had always ran (790/990).

 

Yep, i found it was only the CCC that was installing, device manager reports the WDDM 1.1 driver for me in Win7, the one that reinstalls when you restart after removing your drivers

 

they seems to improving 3dmark vanatge performance!

 

Joined AMD forum and posted issue re CCCPrev.exe, awaiting answers!

Checking the actual Folder C:\program Files(x86)\ATI Technologies\ There is only one file shown which is cccutil64 a 28byte text document!

Just found my Audio is now FUBAR as well! FFS! ARGH!:bang:

 

Is ATi becoming nvidia? Because they realase 9.4 beta. Everything is same as in 9.4 beta. Funny.

Reinstalled the 9.3's as still had them, and they are back on and working fine. 8.591's, so they'll do for me until they sort out the Win7 set.

Just updated Spybot but its still finding CCCPrev.exe. Allowed the process until it updates for this issue!

FFS matey, its all been happening for me recently! OC Borked, Audio issues, Spybot doesn't like the 9.4's Bloody hell! Well thats my three (bad things come in three's apparently!) Its all plain sailing from here on in!

 

When the **** do Vista 64 users get Avivo converter functionality?

 

It's downloading slower than a moose in a washing machine; what's this new Overdrive thinger like?

 

To me it looks exactly the same! Is supposed to have changed?

 

It has some new screen that pops up for me, some crazy rainbow looking bullcrap that doesn't have any progress bar or anything showing. It covers the entire screen. Pretty fail if you ask me.

I hate CCC all together. I uninstalled it and just installed latest ATT beta. My VC is oc'd and ov'd via BIOS flash. So, I just use ATT for adjust 3d settings. My system runs so much faster when CCC isnt installed. I hate almost every .NET application out there!
