    @Asder

    Trying to install a 7970 on Win8 with your driver. It will not let me install the driver via Device Manager and sticks with the Microsoft Basic Driver. Doing it the normal way CCC installs but drivers do not.

    Thanks for working on this! :)

    well dirt 3 runs on this build of win8, abit off topic but any1 having mouse pointer issues where the pointer locks up when u go to the corner of your screen ive got around this.......when u first logon hold ctrl+alt+del to bring up task manager and then click switch user, just log back in and for some reason it's fixed but I have to do this everytime from cold boot.

    i have radeon 6490M and intel hd 3000 in my laptop. All available AMD and INTEL drivers don't work (even yesterday's new RADEON driver for windows 8, when i install it, it shows me that i have radeon 7400M(!), but card still doesnt work).
    Now i work with intel card with microsoft default driver (WDDm 1.2 - without any controll center and another extras - it suck!). Somebody know, when any TRUE drivers for this cards will be available? Sorry for my english.

    For what??? It's just 8.930 with new components/changes for Win 8 (they won't work on Win 7, so u get 8.930).

    12.2 Precertified works fine, you just have no CCC and have to install the driver by forcing an upgrade from the Microsoft generic VGA driver through the device manager.

    Installing MSI Afterburner 2.2 Beta 14 will give you access to the powertune -20-+20% slider, voltage control and overclocking to the CCC limit of 1125/1575. I am not sure if unofficial overclocking works through AB as I have not tried it.

    Everything seems similar to Windows 7 using the same driver. But for the time being I cannot game on my television since by default it has underscan enabled. :(

    Thanks for the info! When you say "forcing and upgrade" is it just as simple as going into the device manager to do it, right click and select "update driver software"?

    EDIT: Got it figured out. :D
