Does anyone know when these boards will actually be for sale? Will it be the first week of Sept? Or do we have to wait until mid month?

    Anyone have a clue?

Hoping for pre-order at least by the 10th, i'd grab a second hand 2080ti but just not enough RT cores.

Well that's just killed the RTX2080ti market, RTX3070 as fast at less than half price, less vram but faster, was going to sell mine, guess I will shove in in my wife's pc as a gaming back up rig, roll in the 3090

yeah i sold my 2080ti 10 days ago just in time and been using my 1080ti as backup, didnt lose much from the price i bought it as well perfect timing, cant wait for the 3090. next buy will be swapping my 3900x by the new ryzen series, and im debating between a 4k 144 hertz or 1440p 240hz, i already have 1400p 165 hertz but man that 240hz is tilting me

I'm still waiting for the 1070/1660s/2060 to come down enough to be affordable. :(

Why would you wait for a 1070 now, when you can wait for a 3050 or 3030?
Guessing even a 3030 would be more performance than a 1070 as far as the current specs go.
Will be about 2-4 Months out, but may be a cheap alternative that is also more performance AND Raytracing! With DLSS2.0 support you may even be able to enjoy 4k gaming on the cheap in games that support it. :)

Because as far as I know those don't exist, but if they do, I'm sure they will be $299+ and I hope it will force the price of ~1070/2060 level cards down to like $150-179 like they should have been all along

Meanwhile, I've been stuck on my 1060 3GB gimped POS for years because I straight up cannot afford a $300+ video card. 4K is way out of my reach, I'm still perfectly happy with 1080, any more and I'd need a card capable of running at the higher resolution at a tolerable frame rate (not to mention a new monitor), and that equals a $499+ graphics card.

Yeah, back when I could still work, and therefore afford a thing or two, I still usually just bought a ~mid range GPU and usually a year or so after release after prices dropped a bit. Now days though, since four years ago when I bought my GTX 1060 for $169, the prices have just trippled+ on EVERYTHING. Even my GTX 1060 went to over $500 for quite a while (years) at one point and only stabilized back to around $329, still $200 for the crippled piece of junk right now. The thing is/should not be worth $99 now.
