i tried routing back to 45.23p Omega and noticed a fair bit of FPS increase, i still get drops but not as drastic. I also noticed alot smoother crosshair and easier headshots playing on the same server where before the driver change, headshots seemed almost impossible because of the crosshair and fps lag.. weird.

    EDIT :

Forgot to mention that i also installed the new driver cleaner 3.1 and ran this before the new installed driver and it picked up alot more driver files than the previous version of driver cleaner...

    EDIT 2 :

I take that all back, i still get big FPS drops ... i still don't understand this problem and why it happens to various people using different system set-ups.

i have a feeling this whole FPS issue is due to hardware conflicts, not software. Still don't get it :(

    Hey,
I have a system that is a little worse than yours. Look at my specs to the right. I've been to the "GF4 and cs probs (the meeting)" : http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread...rpage=10&highlight=omega drivers&pagenumber=1

I noticed you were there too. 93 pages is too much for me to read. Today I tried installing the 44.03 drivers, but then I couldn't run 3DMark2001SE for some reason. Help me if you can : http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=92224

The 44.03 shows a little improvements over the latest drivers.

Can you say what kind of fps you get. I get the Tixxxx problem that is stated in the first post. I get 100/99.5 fps when I am just by myself. When I see someone walk with me, it drops to 80's. Smoke nade (high quality), still 90's. Bomb explosion, 30-50's.

I'm curious, what do you get? Maybe we can help each other out.

when theres 10-15 people playing i pretty much get no drops. When theres more or heavy battle, it drops from 100-60 and i usually die because of the cross-hair lag.. its so frustrating...i really think its the newer Geforce chipsets. I remember someone saying they had a GF2 GTS and didnt have this problem...

well, after installing the 43.45 driver im quite satisfied and im going to stick with these. The graphics are really smooth, my accuracy was alot more precise. No more messing around with settings for awhile :D

I have tried the 44.03, 45.23, and the Omega 44.03. Here is the order for me (best to worst):

    44.03
    Omega 44.03
    45.23

I should maybe try the 43.45. Would the 43.45 be faster than the 44.03?

Try setting the hl.exe after starting cs/dod to Below Normal base priority. This should fix all your mouse lag issues.

As for the person with win98se, sorry.

its cool cuz one driver seems good, but overtime it starts to deteriorate to the level of other drivers ... or is that just the human mind saying< I NEED CHANGE CMON ALREADY.

Yes, try running a benchmark to test.

This isnt relating to mouse lag, but when i start CS, i go out, set the priority to above normal and it makes the game seem alot smoother, generally, you want the most ram dedicated to the CS application, right?

43.45 are by far the best for this card. I have tried so many drivers and combinations and nothing compares. 1 thing i've noticed is, these drivers don't overclock to well, whenever i try to boost it up, i get a Microsoft C++ Visual Runtime Error in CS after about 20 mins of play. Once i clock it down, the error goes away.
