Btw they know me as bits-to-bytes on other forums and places.
Well my first attempt on a AMD build I did, haven't touched a AMD CPU since Socket A. Hope you guys like it idk where this kind of work rates in the computer world. It's called "The Waiting Kill-Dozer."

Wow.... and i thought MY wire management wasn't that great. haha

all kidding aside... nice rig you got there. Jealous of the 680 :'(. And it's not often you see someone with a rear INTAKE fan.not entirely sure why you'd want it that way. I mean yea... you're bringing in air from outside the case to the inside, directly under the radiator.... but that's also basically the air straight from the PSU and GPU.

I'll apologise for the crappy picture quality, but I'm not a photographer and my camera sucks ass.

Anyway, this is my backup/old gaming rig for play older titles on.

    Athlon XP 3200+ OCed to 2.4 GHz (200 x 12)
    Gigabyte GA-7N400 motherboard
Nvidia 6800 GT with aftermarket cooler (can't remember brand)
2 GB DDR RAM 400 MHz CAS 3-3-3-7
    450W Powercool modular PSU
    Coolermaster case
    2 x Seagate Barracuda 7200 rpm drives in RAID0 (2 x 80 GB)
    Windows XP SP3

Still a pretty decent rig, runs many modern games at 720p with ease. I'm trying to source parts for a P4 equivelant on eBay to do a comparison with.

I know, but that's just the way it sits in the case and probably the angle of the shot, too. There are 2 side fans in there blowing cold air on the CPU cooler and GFX card. Everything runs cooler than my main rig. Photos of that to come soon.

Thanks though my temps are great, I get high 50s low 60s at load on the CPU and the 680 never hits 70 while gaming. If I decide to go SLI again I may reconsider the rear intake but at the moment its working well

I have tested set-ups like that and I can say there is micro-stutter for Crossfire set-ups using 2 cards with 2 bridge's 3dmark vantage is the best one to test with

noticing improvements is a myth the only notice you ever well benchmarks will see is if you go from PCIE 8x + 8x to PCIE 16x + 16x

but on the other hand if you don't get a problem and you like 2 bridge's in go for it

That is a seriously clean looking build, nice work. However, the best thing is the Gerrard poster in the backround

Think you have a large enough gap between that rear rad and the back of the case? Haha. Surprising to see the use of fan grills, too. Never really liked them, myself. Even in situations where you don't necessarily need a lot of static pressure, they tend to make any fan suck.
