- Added wish lists to the store!
- Fixed crash checking out with PayPal
- Fixed showing 'last played: tomorrow' for some games
- Fixed uninstalled games showing up in downloads page
- Removed details/news button for media downloads
- Downloads page now falls back to full game art assets for free demos
- Fixed details page trying to request background images for mods/non-steam games
- Fixed emote text in chats (/me) to always match the users state color
- Fixed crash in html control if you got a resource loading callback just after a window was closed
- Fixed a crash in the game overlay when dealing with lots of friends
- Reverting chat dialogs' names to begin with the names of those you're chatting with, for ease of window identification in the system tray
- Changed list panel gradient to be more subtle and improve legibility in chat, and elsewhere
- Fixed case where the users configuration file could get corrupted if friends have some special characters in their name
- Fixed case on windows 7 where text in chats could jitter when selected
- Adding new hover treatment to friends list
- Added hover and selected states for installed, installing and uninstalled games
- Steamworks : Fixed joining clan/ogg lobbies using ISteamFriends::ActivateGameOverlayToUser( "chat" )
- Fixed 'recover my account name / password' dialog having wierdness with the radio buttons
- Fixed playing older media videos using GCF depots
- Increased hit area of VIEW FRIENDS link to be the whole region left of the users avatar
- Improved appearance of text on Windows 7 with ClearType off
- Reworked chat dialog layout to be more compact
- Fixed case where group chat panels could have cut-off text
- Updated the Steam icon
- Fixed game overlay to remember whether or not the Friends panel was open or closed, and have it in the same state the next time you run a game. Defaults to "open".
- Reduced main window header and footer height, as well friends list footer height
- Reduced size of main window primary and secondary navigation text
- Creating windows shortcuts now creates shortcut links of the form 'steam://rungameid/#' instead of steam.exe – fixes windows 7 changing the Steam icon in the tray to be the game icon

More updates, now called Steam_60.mst (Instead of the previous "58") so it might be out soon as the "sixth" iteration of Steam.

-Viewing mini games list won’t cause the “steam runs in the tray” notification to appear
-Fixed doubleclick of tray icon to open mini games list when appropriate
-Fixed overlapping controls in server browser preventing clicking on some controls
-Fix leak in in-game overlay web browser
-Improve in-game overlay compatibility with ATI Tray Tools
-Fix in-client “leave group” navigation
-Change font fallback to be less aggressive in non-East Asian languages to improve appearance of many European languages in Steam
-Fix button/label height calculation to take into account font-fallback which may use a taller font for some international characters
-Make games list section headers smaller if the game image is not shown
-Properly remember which games list sections were open or closed
-Various fixes for window resizing/snapping/etc on win 7
-Fixed download time prediction, supports pause and resume, should be more accurate too
-Fix audio stutter when starting voice chat

My only problem was text not showing up in menus and that has been fixed ages ago. For me this new ui looks and feels much much better than the old one.

- Add back image_tiled render command support for third party skins
- Fix Steam notification/toast messages showing on the monitor your mouse is currently on instead of the primary monitor
- Tweak friends message and join sounds
- Fix the in-game overlay being overlay bright in D3D10/11 games that use an sRGB supporting backbuffer (AvP)
- Fix a crash in WebKit crash caused by dismissing a select with the enter key… again.

- Fixed regression causing some windows to appear in the top left corner rather than correctly positioned

- Added a maximize button to the main Steam window
- Fixed going into offline mode
- Fixed regression joining HL1 mods through server browser
- Fixed opening steam://storeurl/* in Steam client browser
- Showing time left for limited subscriptions in game name
- Fixed demos showing up in downloads page if user owns full game
- Fixed showing correct name of still running non-Steam apps
- Fixed game names in Win7 jumplist and systray menu to use the display name for the game, instead of the internal name
- Corrected border corners in mini games list
- Fixed section collapse state in games details list and mini games list not being saved across sessions
- Changed the HTML control to try open the OS file open dialog first, then fall back to internal file open dialog if not
- Fixed navigation buttons in verify email address wizard

- Changed client to be a lot more aggressive about making sure it can get platform app info on launch if it doesn’t have any
- Fixed TextEntry control (used in chat windows) always not drawing the first character on a new line when wrapping text
- Fixed clicking off a context menu onto the background of the game overlay not closing the menu
- Reduced maximum number of items shown in the systray game MRU list from 10 to 5
- Fixed writing file steam_appid.txt when starting external shortcuts
- Fixed case where mini-games list and full games list could both show at the same time

When is this supposed to come out of beta? I tried it initially but it decided it needed to delete 12GB of games for no reason whatsoever. I refuse to use beta software for stuff like that.

Going to offline mode finally fixed (clicking on go offline doesn't restart the client and does not switch to offline mode)! Still I would encounter some problem when I tried to play the games on Wired LAN instead of Wireless LAN (for better ping, 30 vs 170).

- Games list section collapse state is now shared between the various views (list, grid, mini)
- Removed the ‘Steam runs in the notification tray’ hint dialog
- Improved downloads page bandwidth graph scaling
- Fixed mini-games list having a single ‘GAMES’ category showing if all other categories were removed
- Fixed the notification tray tooltip not supporting Unicode characters
- Changed the notification tray context to appear a couple of pixels higher than the mouse cursor pos, so that Exit isn't highlighted by default, to help out the one user on the forum who double clicks too slowly and accidently closes Steam
- Fixed favorites not coming across correctly if added before opting into the beta
- Several translation improvements

- Fixed WebKit crash on closing some pages with popup menu dialogs shown
- Fixed WebKit scrolling pages back to the top on load of a subframe
- Fixed WebKit flickering black on load of subframe elements within the page
- Fixed WebKit changing page title to title of each subframe in the page in turn
- Fixed WebKit popping error dialogs on subframe load failures within a page, now only pops error dialog for main frame
- Fixed TGA textures flickering a few frames on first draw in the in-game overlay
- Fixed incorrect game name showing in several places in the client/overlay UI
- Fixed error enabling voice chat without user acceptance when toggling from two user to multi-user chat dialogs
- Disabled middle clicking of links in the in-game and client browsers (wasn’t intended to be enabled, and new window handling in Steam is not robust enough for this yet)
- Optimized rendering of the Library Grid View to improve performance

- Fixed bug where Steam windows could render black or grayed out when alt-tabbed out of a game or running over remote desktop
- Fixed a crash installing a game available via a hardware promo if the app info was not already fetched
- Added the ability to disable the in-game overlay per-game in the game properties dialog

- After completing a purchase on the store, the "Install" button will now launch an install wizard for all newly purchased games (instead of linking to the Library pane).

Well the new UI is coming out of beta on Monday, and there is a mac beta in progress (for Steam, not sure about what games are included in the beta). I haven't looked into how well that is going though.
