So I just recieved a evga gtx 460 1gb for a late x-mas present. I was thinking of stepping it up to a gtx 570 because there is no reason for me to keep my gtx 260. I'm asuming they go for about 100 or so on eBay so It would probably cost me around 50 bucks to upgrade. Worth it or not?

  2. If you can for 50 bucks it's worth it.

I'd get a used cheap 460 to run sli and use the sli compatale mb to its its fullest.
Should last a few years if your 1920x1200 or lower.
so ride on the 1 460 sell the 260 and keep an eyeout for a good used 460 down the road.

I dont know how I feel about sli but I did think about it too. I'll see how much I can squeeze out of my 260 on ebay and make my decision from there.

Stupid question... I swear I remember you can do volt modding on the 460, how the heck do I do that?

If you go sli could you post some benchmarks? Should have similar results to my set up was dubious about doing it due to my cpu.

at that resolution two 460 always beat gtx 580 at that resolution. And with your psu it shouldnt be any problem as it is more than enough.
