why would they release hd version. PC has billions of mods who looks probably better than "HD" version.

Might be due to expiring music license. Happened to other GTA games but they were able to just remove the songs there. So it might be just a temp thing.

Xbox 360 new version (not old Xbox Originals which was taken down) is mobile port.
With awful audio quality, and if it's straight port (looks that way, it takes same space as android version, 2gb to ~4gb original PC game) decreased pedestrian density lower shadow/lightning distance etc.

Only "advantage" are visual effects, not sure if I want it on PC.
I'm happy that I still have original release on disc.

Modding the original and using an ENB still is the best option, but a "HD port" probably will offer a better out of the box experience.

I mean, gamepad and widescreen support on original SA are terrible.
You need to mod just to get it working properly.

I just wanna to see how friendly this re-release will be about modding and stuff.

Not sure about modding (but I'm sure it won't be better) but apparently controls on new X360 version are bad (from what I've heard, not sure what's wrong) so I would not expect good controller support, unfortunately.

Wasn't GTA SA an abomination to get running already? Weird mouse issue, mouse acceleration, widescreen resolution bug and music sometimes just not working.

Wasn't it taken down? Or is it up again?
Anyway if they change it to new X360 version (which is mobile port) I'd say it's not worth it(unless you already have it), even at the price it's on 360.

    ^^
Actually people are working on PS2 lighting/colors on gtaforums:
