MSI AB / RTSS development news thread

Hello. Yes i saw this but i think its negative towards my trust factor in csgo if i add this launch option so i have MSI afterburner graphs in game... I mean its stupid because many cheaters already bypassed trusted mod.... this update just ruined one of the best streaming programs OBS, MSI, NVIDIA, and other overlays and stuff but cheats do still work... Really ROFL! I mean trusted mod doesnt do anything to fight cheaters its jut making game hard to open.. it doesnt make sense.

 

Unwinder, do you know about the problem with RTSS and AC:Origins? Sometimes the frame limiter doesn't apply and sometimes it does.
All I could find was an Ubisoft forum admin claiming there was a conflict between the game and RTSS. Is there a fix that you are aware of or should I settle for the terrible in-game limiter?

 

This looks amazing!! Have you thought about releasing the .ovl to public? Would love to have the same overlay setup running on my RTSS at home.

 

I need to have set Borderless Window Mode, Vsync ON ingame, fps limit set to 60 in RivaTunerStatisticsServer and that way it works always.

I've never had any issues with RTSS, as I don't play a lot of online multiplayer games, but I've always wondered if it would be better to just leave stealth mode enabled globally, in the off chance that I do end up playing some game that treats game code hooking differently, as to prevent future headaches.

I've had the software configured for "Low" application detect level and stealth mode set to "off" globally.

 

Hey Unwinder, sorry I know this is for "development" stuff and not dumb questions, but it's so dumb I don't want to start a new topic for it... Anyways is there any truth to this or complete FUD?

Basically the latest drivers come with a new component called "NvModuleTracker" and a user here says it's needed for MSI Afterburner to run properly, another user disputes this claim, but something official from you would be better. I assume it's completely unrelated to Afterburner and that this user has no idea what's hes talking about. (for what it's worth I've also removed this "NvModuleTracker" and Afterburner works just a well for me as always...)

 

I am running 452.06 w/o that module installed, MSI AB seems to be working fine.
It seems that module depends on NvStreamSrv.

Installs a driver:
ServiceName = "NvModuleTracker"
ServiceDescription = "Process and module monitoring driver"
