http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2014/12/05/rainbow-six-siege-controls/ R18. What the! According to comments, the above footage is from the PC build. Only Ubi would remove something as simple and old as lean from their franchises only to add it back in later and market it as a new break through feature. Though if this is a return to form for RS and the game works on launch, mp isnt a broken matchmaking mess... i maybe down for this.
I was very excited about this game, but come on, I remember that "feature" in Soldier of Fotune II and that was 2002 ! It's unreal how they're pushing that as something special. Q and E, MFers, Q and E.
Not to toot my own horn here, but im pretty sure that awhile ago i joked about lean being re-introduced as a new and never before seen feature... I was only joking, but come on UBI, really After watching the trailer I started up steam and downloaded RS: Lockdown, might pickup Raven Shield also. Still trying to get a hang of steams new layout. I kinda feel offended by UBi these days - Leeeaaaaaaannnn Gamerz, like neva before! leeeaaaannn Edit: Why the hell isnt Raven Shield on steam. Anyone know where to buy it? Edit2: Yes it is, the subtitle just isnt in the IP name.:bang:
This "reintroduction" does not matter since game looked and moved good in previous trailer/gameplay videos. I feel like this may bring old days of R6: RS. So much fun. But I hope those walls can take more damage or that holes are smaller till few more bullets hit area.
Raven Shield was not for many and this is bit more action based resurrection with modern PC technologies included. Player base for Siege will never be even 1/10th of what simple "Point & Click" action game like CoD have. But people playing Siege will have that extra quality.
Oh, I'm sure the quality is there - but once the optimal strategy has been figured out, everyone will use it. It reminds me of left for dead. Once you figure out where everybody needs to stand and what guns/gadgets they should use on what maps, the game becomes repetitive and boring. This is that minus the frenetic action, so it's just boring from the start.
Yes, sure but you are not playing with repetitive AI. It is same as telling me that I play boring Counter-Strike 1.6 because I already know every wall/crate I can shoot through, just because you presume there will not be anyone behind since everyone know about same zones. Such assumption would be dead wrong, when playing with people they make mistakes, they try very different things every round. And if they don't you get easy frags. And even if you play against AI (Killing Floor, Payday, ...) it is hard to make people to stick to some strategy. "No plan survives contact with the enemy."
I have not really follow this game developpement, but looking at this video, it seems they are coming back to the root of Ravenshield. Self cover, lean and full controll. No bs animation for take cover behind a wall or a barrier. Im not much interested in the singleplayer part, but could well be close of Raven shield Rainbow six 3 for the multiplayer part. ( assuming there's too an ultra "hardcore" difficulty level with everything unlocked for the multiplayer as it was the case for the initial games of the serie ) By hardcore, i mean: 1 bullet = wound, second bullet=dead, no respawn,
Agreed. I just did a dual boot on my second rig with xp so I can run old games that dont work with my eyefinity setup. Rainbow Six Vegas has very bad stretching issues, and so does the early RB6 games.
Thanks for the reminder, just got mine! Won't let me install - keeps saying I don't have enough space but I'm pretty sure 100GB free is more than enough. :bang:
