Hi all, I'm just wondering if you could help me with selecting a new case? I was thinking of changing my case. I've been out of touch with pc modding and upgrading for some time now so don't know what's what anymore. Currently I have a Thermaltake Soprano, which has been a lovely case but wanted to change it for something a little better. I was wondering if you'd be able to suggest something with good cooling, nice amount of space and better cable management, doesn't appear to be much in the Soprano (that could just be me though) but not something that will totally break the bank, that's probably a tall order and not specific enough but just any ideas you guys might have. Thanks all.
Depends on how much you want to spend. There are some very nice cases at OC-Uk for around £30-40 but you do get what you pay for. I am a fan of Coolermaster cases - I recommend the nVidia Edition - very nice case or you could check out NZXT, the phantom range is very nice also and has nice internals for cable tidy and fans etc.
I was actually looking at some cases a few days ago. Cooler Master HAF 922 ($100), HAF 932 ($150), and Silverstone Raven ($180) were all really nice looking. You could also look at the Zalman Z9 Plus. It's $60ish I believe on NewEgg. What kind of budget are you working with?
Thanks for the replies so far guys, checked those cases out and like them all so far . Weiji - was looking between £70 - £150 I guess but trying to avoid going to the upper limit, unless I can be reeeeeeally be persuaded.
check the Inwin dragon rider http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811108376 I had one and loved it..sold pc and now on my rebuild I will get another one.
How about one of these? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...er=BESTMATCH&Description=NZXT+phantom&x=0&y=0 I use the black NZXT Phantom and its my favorite case so far.
I decided tonight I want something different so even thouygh the dragon rider is the best case I have owned I am going with the Antec Dark Fleet 85 since it is something different and has red led's. It will go nice with the ASUS AM3+ Crosshair mobo I am going to purchase.
Thanks again for the replies guys, much appreciated. The Corsair 800D is a tad over my price range but I did look at it and would love one. Nice idea Raven Guard and Agent-A01 - I did take a look at the NZXT Phantoms before I made the initial post, tis very nice. I do like the look of the Antec, that's pretty bad ass. At the moment I'm torn between the NZXT Phantom and a Cooler master CM 690 II Advanced, both in black, seeing as the rest of my gear is in black, with blue LEDs, I didn't actually plan that or maybe I did but in my subconscious, it just kind of turned out that way.
The Xigmatek Elysium is going to be extremely hard to beat in that price range IMO. Review here: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Xigmatek/Elysium/1.html
i would suggest a COOLERMASTER CM 690 is a good choice (this was part of my own personal choice) then the CORSAIR 650D is a really great case bro (this was my second choice) but i opted to go for the CORSAIR graphite 600T. those are the choices that i have to think about..try reading/watching reviews on all the suggested cases bro..it always boils down to the three main thing..PRICE, STYLE and PERSONAL PREFERENCE.. hope that i was able to enlighten you in your dilemma..
