ok one question.. Me and my son were playing this for the past 2 days (campaign only thou), and we're close to come to Chicago.. The problem is thou, we still got only like 8 tier 4 cars to pick from.. Aston Martin 2x BMW Mustang Boss Gallardo 3 Nissans Shelby Mustang .. Where the hell are the other cars? Are there no other cars to choose from in campaign mode, or is something wrong here?
I've nearly completed the game, some way past Chicago now. And still only tier 4 cars. Been bugging me for ages and easily the worst part about the game. Total lack of cars. I've just been using one of the Nissan's nearly all game as it is the faster/best accelerating and best handling. Bored with it but no other car comes close. The others look good and sound great but they don't help me win races.
hm. well I must say that I am loving this game. Im surprised by one thing, the 30fps limit is actually a plus. I cant believe I am saying this now but the reality, the game is rock solid all the way through, no slow down or frame rate issues so I am literally just focussing on playing the game and not FPS watching... prior to this I would have said 60fps is a must for driving games but the speed and exhilaration of this game is equal (if not better) than all my other driving games which don't have the limit.
UK Gamers. http://www.game.co.uk/en/need-for-speed-the-run-limited-edition-145930?pageSize=20&searchTerm=skyrim £13.99 - Can't go wrong with that
lol, well i did hear that, but i'm willing to take a gamble on it. Should last me a few days, and i can mess about with the MP so i'm sure i will get my money's worth.
Well at least the multiplayer might be alright, I really liked HP2010. Please would they give us a oldy style Need for Speed like Road Challenge?
Hey guys so how's the game? Since its using the Frostbite 2 engine I'd imagine it would look great and the effects would be awesome. I'd assume its using DX11 since it uses the Frostbite 2 engine - but how does the looks compare to Dirt 3? Currently I find Dirt 3 to be the most beautiful racing game that uses DX11
Looks fairly nice but outside of the cutscenes which show off the really superb facial modelling it doesn't look much different in all honesty to last year's Hot Pursuit. Also, this game is locked at 30 fps but nevertheless manages to run silky-smooth and doesn't feel hindered by its console-esque framerate... surprisingly. DiRT 3 still holds the title of prettiest racing game on the PC though.
Ow snap, really? Hot Pursuit looks nice but it doesnt have anti-aliasing on the PC. The jagged edges are an eyesore. Though it looked good when playing on a 17" CRT monitor with full resolution So does The Run have anti-aliasing?
It uses FXAA but only on the High/Ultra setting as part of the Post-Processing setting, i.e. there is no separate option to toggle it on and off, plus there's no support for MSAA (unlike Battlefield 3 which runs on the same Frostbite engine).
Lol wut? Have you ever played L.A. Noire? I am hella disappointed with The Run, but I didn't expect much. Greatest NFS was Most Wanted back in 05, and Current NFS World is more entertaining than all their new games. Problem with The Run is really the same as all previous games. Anyone remember how awesome the speed as in Carbon? You go 200mph and it looks like you're goin' 60? Ya same **** different game. The car "feel" is terrible. The car graphics in the garage, when you select your car, brings back memories of game devs using 2D sprites instead of 3d rendered meshes. I wouldn't pay 10 bucks for this game because it isn't worth it.
