    New screens look great!
Lot's of people seem to like the warm look.
Even though this seems less 'warm,' it is still a little too warm for my taste.

Even the HQ version I tried was good but still had to go back to regular E3 look because the colors were all messed up on my screen.
I hope with the new version, you can still provide one that isn't 'warm.'

Either way, you know I think this mod is the tits.

    :D

Not sure. Maybe it's just the screenshot, but it doesn't really look like the rain is being rendered to me. I assume you are making your file 'read only' as well or it's just going to re-apply the settings back to off.

LOD looks a bit low as well, but maybe that is the screenshot quality again.

Anyway, if you think it's better then that's cool. I just know running my set-up with the HQ version causes stutter while driving in the city, so i'll stick with the 3.1 version and run ultra settings. Looks good enough for me. ;-)

Are those lamps being lit by torches or lightbulbs? :)

Hey guys I wasn't sure where to post this but figured this would work better than starting a new thread just yet. This is a proof of concept so far, it's rough and mostly just for testing so far. I wanted to make sure the game could actually load edited textures before going farther.

I personally don't like many of the clothing options in WD. Aidan has a very distinct style that's pretty cool, so it's a shame most of his alternate outfits aren't very good. This is the Blume Agent and Dedsec outfits with some alternations. For the Blume Agent I just made the coat black and removed the star on the back (for now). I'll do more with that another time. I also made the hat and mask darker too to match the coat. I think this looks really cool with the red sweatshirt and dark pants, and it looks great when it rains. The Dedsec outfit is interesting, but I cant stand the green paint. It's too distracting and bright. I was able to remove it from the pants so far. The coat's another story though. I may just make the paint red instead so it looks like blood.

If this is something you guys are interested in I can keep going and do others as well, but I'd need some help for that. I cant properly unzip the windy_city.dat file, and Maldo's textures only seem to have dlc clothing textures (though they did have mipmaps I was able to edit too, so they're intact). If someone can hook me up with the Ultra textures for the rest (pretty much everything not in Maldo's mod) I can add some more style to Aidans wardrobe. Otherwise I'll just make alternates with what I have.

i think their are 2 types of lights on this street those obelisk 4 sided lights they seem to be cold (white) and those lamp lights (2 sided) they seem to be warm, but im not sure because of camera setup :)

btw i think this could be the inspiration for the Ambrose :)

    @Lunayah

After playing a while with your E3 original atmosphere, I switched now to your warm atmosphere, because I looked at real Chicaco pictures at night and it looks more like your warm version. Very nice work!

Are we talking realism here or just what you 'think' it should look like?
City skies are not dark, too many lights.

This is the real Chicago at night.

yeah the round lights seem to go into the white (cold) spectrum and the lights on the top into the red (warm) spectrum i think the Obelisks (4 sided) are White lights.

Because in 0.97c night bright looks like daytime

before this two images ,i thought suburbs will darker than downtown area

but it seems like a wrong imagine

Now know what is real sky:stewpid:

    Thanks

Ya, seems to have a mixture of deep orange and bright white, but that pic of the bean I think is way too over saturated. Is that something you did or from another mod you are using?
Anyway, it doesn't have to be realistic because this isn't exactly the same Chicago right?

On a side note, my dad just got back from Chicago and guess what... He said it rained the whole time. So I guess they got that part right. ;)

Well technically, Pawnee sky should be darker than when you are in the city but I think the game uses the same assets, so not sure if it could be modified based on your location. Darker as you get further outside the city.

    yeah just similiar :)

but they tried hard to keep the real look after the E3 Demo which was more a Cinematic look also when they changed to this partly pre baked approach for Performance ;)

Would you mind posting or sharing screen shots of your in-game settings. I just want to verify everything matches up with yours. Did you make any changes to the NVIDIA control panel?

Ok guys lets see if I could explain. The game engine works in very specific
ways. I can only change certain things. Now I wish I could use different
colorgradings for day or for night. but i cant in that way I could make the
night dark and the day subtle. and unfortunately the more saturated the
day looks the more unrealistic it looks. anyway I will ONLY upload my
updated HQ version for those who want something extra and have high end
rigs. I might optimize it a little for better frames, but due to some redefined
textures, lods, assets and reflections, the mod may cause more stutter then
my 3.1 uploads. The HQ will be a warmer, sharper and more subtle version
of E3 original as you guys can see on the shots. Anyway you guys still have
lots too choose from om 3.1 when it comes to atmospheres. What my
personal version will have are things adjusted to my personal taste. I like
more rain, more particle tessellation. and more subtle colors. most of you
seem to like the shots so now you know what to expect.:)

As I said before, the warm atmosphere it is the most realistic one. in terms of my perception of how the outside world looks like. nevertheless it is game and we can never make it look like reality without flaws:)
