Which board can u recommend? Looking to do a cheap upgrade on my old xp2000 based PC.
Fried my mobo and with dropping processor prices with pentium D...thinking of using my old stuff in that PC with a pentium D processor..Pentium D805(533fsb) or the Pentium D820(fsb800).

Teh motherbboards i am looking at must have PCI-E. And this is teh board i am inetrested in:

MSI 649 NEO V 32€ real cheap, but is it any good?

Asrock 775Dual-VSTA 50€...seems to be the choice for upgrade. Not sure about lack of real agp or pci-e16x

PS i am planning to sell my 7800GS and get a 7600GT instead.

    The 649 Neo-v Does not support dual-core

So you're looking for dual-core, pci-e and DDR1? I don't think such a combination exists other then that Asrock board...and of course the pci-e slot is only x4 (which isn't that big of deal). You can go DDR1 and agp, or DDR2 and pci-e.

I am pretty sure the 7800GS is quite a bit faster then a 7600GT..so I'd say get an AGP board and a dual-core cpu. MSI 865GM3-V:
