Another compelling "mine works, why doesn't yours?" argument.

Thanks for that, do you have to buy the benchmark to run firestrike extreme? Not tried that one yet

Can you suggest a file carrier I upload it to? Or should I email it to you (if you prefer). Also how to "save" this BIOS? By backing it up on GPU-Z?

My card is a rev1.1 as well (kinda rare I guess)

I said factory OC stock boosts, mine boosts higher then default 780 too.. It matches xaudiox gpu factory OC speeds @ Vally, actually 2 fps faster if being picky.

Anyhow, no point in debating further, 780Ti is 980gtx rival, 970 is 780gtx rival that's that.

Im waiting for big Maxwell, that will be a big jump again :nerd:

    Thank you.
    You can backup with GPU-Z.
Upload to any file share place google/onedrive/mediafire/mega or you can send via e-mail.

    Alright sent email.

Currently running at 1512/7516, no overvolt, its running at 1.212v if GPUZ is to be believed. I am quite happy with the performance so far. Just worried about the longevity of the fans now.

?? Uh 100FPS on a single card? Not unless you're playing on low or you have a miracle G1 that outperforms anything in the universe.

I can't get a stable 100FPS using SLI 970.. so I doubt your claim entirely.

Maybe he's playing on low. Probably is to get 100fps from this game.

Honestly, I'd be surprised even to get a steady 100FPS on low.. the game framerate fluctuates way too much to hope to get that.. on a single card? Not a chance.

Doubt away, it doesn't impact my game experience at all.

Have to wonder what the **** is going on with your rig, though.

Hi guys. I got a new Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming, which supposedly goes through the "Gauntlet" binning process which "only the strongest processors" pass and should "satisfy extreme overclocker's expectations" as per the box.

Problem is, from my research in various threads (and this one) I see people getting +150 core and +500 VRAM offsets in MSI Afterburner, even with the non-G1 card version. Meanwhile, the best parameters I could get which didn't generate any noticeable artifacts in stress testing with MSI Kombustor, nor crash the Nvidia driver after a while, are as follows. I haven't played actual games yet to see if the overclock doesn't crash the drivers on them, so even the overclock below might still be unstable.

As soon as I increase either value by +10 I get evident artifacts on Kombustor. Not even increasing voltage by +25 or +40 helps with avoiding the artifacts (in fact the +40 value seemed to increase their frequency), so I just disabled that option.

I'm satisfied with +130 core, but getting only half of the VRAM overclock other people are getting even on non-Gauntlet cards, when my card is supposed to be the cream of the crop, seems very odd. Is my card ****ed up? Are the Gigabyte guys big fat liars and they don't bin ****?

    Thanks!

All seem to take 250-500mhz vram OC for granted, first OC only gpu then focus on vram OC.. You won't see any real magic @ higher vram speeds anyway.

I personally rather OC gpu more then vram, it will have better overall results. Yes higher vram speeds can help by lots of MSAA, but gpu AA perf. will cripple it sooner..

I will.. 100fps is impossible with one card.. Any card.. Unless you're playing all on low at a low resolution.

Simply not possible otherwise, especially in areas within Hinterlands.

my hynix ram a lousy 100-125mhz by higher gpu freq., at default gpu it can go up to 400-500mhz too..

I think you can do 1500mhz like most, but try with stock ram freq. or maybe 100mhz.. I mean 228gb/s vs 240gb/s @ 250mhz isnt much anyway to sacrifice raw gpu freq. :)
