Geforce GTX Titan X thread.

The frame buffer (vram) is indeed the achilles heel for 780 ti, especially when in sli.

 

GTA5 wants over 8 Giga if you max the distance view or at least that's what it is showing me, and the nv experience wants to set everything on max, optimizing, lol

 

Default clock smashes 60fps with ease, it will be 60fps constant fully maxxed out. I run at 100hz and it barely drops below this at 1342mhz. 60fps is a breeze.

The performance of a Titan X is not far off 2x780Ti's in sli

This was my only concern. I got used to play on my Swift at more than 60 fps
I intend to put an Accelero Xtreme IV on it just to make it more quiet since I don't believe nv anymore when they say their stock cooler is quiet.
They fooled me once with the 590 and that was enough

You know that SLI scaling is rarely 100% scaling so 75-85% on average yes a single Titan X is close to 780Ti SLI. (within 10-20% performance).

 

You are not ever going to double the fps 1x 780ti vs 2 780ti. T^he titan x is at least in the same ballpark as 780ti sli.

 

It sounds good to me, I don't really need more fps than what 780ti sli is making and with more vram all should be better.

 

I want one of these!

 

So do I expect alot more but us beggars cannot be choosers of the almighty nvidia. What they have delivered for a single card solution, if you try it you won't be disappointed. Its good for a single physical card.

Compare to the 980's these TitanX's are good OC'ers in my opinion

1564/2027 MHz is max but I can run all my games at 1506/2006 MHz

I'm just wondering, what does 200% power target add up to, 600W? Does it actually go that high or is it limited somewhere?

 

MyDog has a pretty badboy 5960k there, probably one of the best ive seen even if he does have a chiller its still a good clocker.

 

Hello fellow Titan X Owners,iam really would like to hear your opinion,so my question is:i have an i Core7 990x running at 4.5Ghz,do you think that my CPU is Bottleneck my SLI set up?So far seems like Total war Attila is the one which nut running as i excepted to be,all the other games utilizing my cards well.Untill i could get stabil 50fps i dont care to replace my Combo.And do you think that Windows 10 and Dx12 will help me with those games which are running badly on my rig like Attila?Thank you for your opinion

 

I think it's a 450W TDP bios, the limitation lies in the amount of vcore we can apply. It's either 1.27V or 1.31V that's max at the moment

My 5960X is above average but of course the SS unit with -50C on the head helps

 

Oh, I didn't know voltage was locked to the power target... are you running any custom bios or stock one? Certainly I would have increased powertarget on my 980s, as well as tinkered with the voltage table, but I did not thing there was any link between the two.

 

I think there's no limitation to the TDP at least I've not heard of it but TDP isn't the limitation on the TitanX's.
Yes I'm running a custom bios, I've tested 10-15 different ones for benching and Gaming.

 

Yeah ive tested a few and the best one for me is the Cyclops 1.31v. Rock solid at 1590mhz in firestrike. I only run at 1342 with boost, I will crank up to 1590 which wont be for along time yet as dont need to.
