Hope this means death of bitcoins eventually. It pisses me off. Bitcoin stuff all over ebay, craigslist, youtube. And has ruined the price of AMD cards for guys like me. I can get 2x gtx 660 2gb for the price of one damn R 9 280x or even alot of single 7970

Ever heard the old saying; "Do not steal, the Government hates the competition"?

While I am not in any way a fan of Bitcoin, what the Fed has done to the American Dollar is, in my personal opinion, more criminal than any 'money laundering' scheme ever conceived elsewhere.

Not the first time they label / accuse people 'money laundering'.

If you look at the actual court papers you will see that this isn't a made up charge, but a serious federal offense that he willingly committed while being aware it was illegal that will land him in PMITA prison.

    EDIT: Here's the highlights: http://buttcoin.org/bitinstant-criminal-complaint-highlights

LOL bitcoin could die,but crypto currency never will. Youre mad because it drove the price of AMD cards up? You do realize that GPU's are made for doing other things besides gaming right?

I buy gpus for gaming, so yes I can be mad about it about it ruining the very thing I use them for. GTFO out of here with assuming Im know nothing about hardware and their purpose.

So GPUS can only be used for gaming, and using them for anything else is wasteful? Sorry we are not using them on how you think they should be used. Plus nvidia was never really affected by mining and they are perfectly fine for gaming,so theres that.

he's saying AMD jumped on the bandwagon of the popularity of bitcoin mining and used this to boost the gpu prices right up

he's right in saying gpu's should be for gaming but the truth is now they are made to do some if not more work than a cpu could dream of and they just realised if they put the hashrate on the gpu specs people will buy them just for mining so in effect building an even higher customer base than the gaming community have given them

it does make perfect business sense to do this but yeah its annoying for the little guys like me who now simply cant afford to buy them :(
