As the title said, with my Gigabyte GTX460OC 1gb (GV-N460OC-1GI) the game runs @60fps (with vsync) in menus, but then when im supposed to drive fps drops down to 45ish fps, but the gpu should have no problems running the game @60fps, specially as the gpu is only @40% usage? Do you guys (gtx460 owners specially) have this problem? Im using 260.63 driver, system has Quad 9450@3.6, 4gb ram, and Win7 x64 PRO sp1 beta?

    Please report youre results? Thx.

Ps. Same happens with either dx9 or dx11, gonna test some other drivers and report back soon.

pPS. Game runs pretty good on my other system with ATI cards. But not perfect.

Everyone seems to be having the same problem with this game, there is a massive thread over at the codemasters forum about this. The game still runs fine and looks good(not as good as I thought It would+all the bugs).Codemasters are having a meeting tomorrow to discuss all the bugs that have been found and the fps problem,Its like this game was not fully tested or finished, patch will be forthcoming as soon as possible.
    Take a look here

    Ok, thx richie!

EDIT: I tried forceware 260.44 driver, performance was the same, but I did find something positive with the driver change. With 260.63 I had really long loading times in the menus and from paddock to race, with 260.44 my loading times went from 20-30 seconds to 10 seconds? So there is something wrong with 260.63 for sure!

How do you run the game in DX11 ? i can't find any option about this. :nerd:

I run this game 60fps constant with the same card maxed out (but with an OC)

There is a small fix that places the replay file on a diff drive and has made some players get their performance back.

To run dx11 you have to edit the config file.Check out the link for the codemasters forum in my other post, and have a look about,I have not done it because i dont have dx11

Nice it didn't improve fps but it reduced a weird micro stuttering feeling!! Awesome tweak.

Comparing to GRID; DiRT 2 or SHIFT optimalization in this game is fcking low, GPU usage around 50%, fps around 40, lol.

    idem, 1680x1050 preset high aax4 no v-sync : fps 25-35 in race 150-200 in menu-paddock, gpu usage 45-55% memory usage 280-330 mb -.-
sry for my bad eng :D

    edit

I tried Quadro 259.57 and works a little better ...

Did anyone try the same fix that we used fr BF BC2? Run the game, alt tab to task manager, set affinity on the .exe, deselect one CPU core. Nvidia had some problems with multi core optimizations causing the stutter and low usage in BF BC2. Might be worth a shot.

thanks man but does not solve the problem ...
I think it's only driver optimization problem ( also the game :puke2:)

Is that deselecting 1 thread or 1 whole core? Cause I have HyperThreading enabled.

i'm also having low GPU loads in F1 2010, just around 50%-60% in race. while afterburner reports framerates of just 25-30fps. the strange thing tho is it's super smooth like i'm having more than just 30fps in-game. i can't even notice i'm running at such low framerates unless i check afterburners OSD 'coz there are no stutters or hic-ups when playing. i think this is a driver issue and afterburner is getting the wrong data from our cards, or is that possible? :p

It's strange so many people get problems. I am running my i7 920 @ 4.2 with hyperthreading off, 5157x1050 res, max settings and I get between 60-90 fps at all times, never once has it skipped a beat or crashed. Using 260.63 drivers too. I feel very lucky, hope they sort the problems for those who have them soon, great game.

Thats because you got SLI, the game is poorly optimized but with youre SLI it can run the game pretty good anyway. But I promize you, it would run even better if they fixed the code. For an example, my ATI system that is crossfire hd58xx the game runs fine as well, but not on my single gtx460. It should run fine on the latter too.
