FreeSync uses I think it's called Adaptive Sync which is a optional part of the DisplayPort 1.2a standard used in a few of the more recent monitors so I would guess that's why it's not available.

Anyone else getting horrible performance at Elder Scrolls Online? I'm seeing these 970's going 1080p/60fps, and my cards struggle 30..ish.., settings affect that 0-2fps and have same performance at 1080p and 1440p.

Is it using DX11 or OGL? I noticed ESO has quite bad performance in general, it's CPU bound.

Go to Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\liveeu\UserSettings.txt and set:

    SET RequestedNumWorkerThreads "-1"
    to
    SET RequestedNumWorkerThreads "0"

Hi guys, picked up a 280x to play with in prep for 3xx. Just wanted to ask a few questions:

    1) Is the 14.2 (Omega) driver recommended over the 15.3 Beta?

    2) Are there any guides i should read before i start tweaking stuff? I like to overclock and tinker..

Any advice would be greatly appreciated..

No difference, I have tried to tweak .ini settings and atm I'm just maxing everything since it makes no difference. :3eyes:

???, what do you mean by this?.

Is it that sometimes when you put your PC to sleep and then later wake it up, the system blue screens?.

No it means when the system goes idle and the monitor goes in standby, you can't wake the monitor up again (by moving the mouse or using the keyboard).

Enabling "GPU up-scaling" fixes this for me.

I was under the impression the sleep of death bug was when the whole system goes to sleep and the monitor wont wake up. As apposed to power-save non waking up.

No it's not that. Mind you, there may be that problem as well! :)

The light on the monitor actually comes on like it is waking up, but the screen just stays black.

I can get my monitor to come back on by unplugging it from the card and then plugging it back in.

I've encountered my first bug with these drivers lol

When I open up two or more instances of Media Player Classic, I get a driver has recovered notification after the screen goes black for a few seconds.

All of my other media players are fine so far

Was getting weird core clock changes when playing Elite: Dangerous. It would hop from 400mhz to 900mhz to 935mhz (I don't even have a setting for 935...)

Fixed it with the RadeonPRO setting to maintain maximum clock speed. Now it stays at 900 like it is supposed to.

    its supposed to hop around.

    thats plowerplay doing its job.

Dynamic clock adjustment based on load.
