The first two let's say they might be acceptable, but don't close UAC. It helps you understand what is trying to mess with your system. You don't want things to change quietly in Program Files/Windows folders.

Why. Make them be small and keep them. They are 256kb anyways.

I've been using Qihoo 360 security for around half a year now and its been working great for me. BitDefender was good too but it would crash sometimes for no reason.

Qihoo 360 uses a BitDefender engine combined with a checksum based engine on their cloud and a machine learning QVM engine.

It also has a sandbox mode which is cool.

For a free AV I recommend it

I second that Qihoo 360 is great dual engine scanner avira & bit defender engine all for free

I would never use chinese antivirus or anything with admin rights (closed source without audit) from China... Not after China & Forbes incident.. + you dont need extra sandbox because every modern software which needs sandbox is sandboxed.. (Chromium, Acrobat, MSO..).

Probably. Don't expect massive improvements though, I believe they are focusing on the Windows 10 driver. Considering Windows 10 is a free upgrade to Windows 7 and Windows 8.1, and the driver model has changed, this is completely fair.

It's due this month, yeah. We'll see if they stick to that or not.

....Windows 10 isn't out yet, though. (not that they shouldn't focus on it. They just shouldn't at the expense of stuff that's actually being used right now.)

First driver in a while I have had to roll back from. Performance was good however if my monitor went to sleep (but the PC didn't) when I woke it up, if I started a game it would just minimize to desktop or have a black screen. No crashes, no error messages. It did this in both Shadow Warrior and Talos Principle. Going back to 14.12 and problem isn't present.

You're assuming that the Chinese government gives 2 turds in a wicker basket about my business.

Also, if Qihoo messed around like that they would lose their reputation fast.

like 9/10 of the components in my PC were built in China. If they wanted access to my porn stash that bad, they'd have it by now.

Well, It's not about tracking YOU, It's about tracking all of us.. They are doing this for long time, using zero day vulnerabilities in browsers, plugins and Windows.. With admin rights from user, it is very easy.. I dont know why are they doing it, maybe they want massive amount of data or they want to have large botnet ready to start SkyNet :) but anyway, I dont want any spyware in my machine..

please fix Alan wake crossfire corruptions. Only really old drivers don't have the flashing and checkerboard corruptions. Tested on 4930k/295x2 and also another pc with 2x280X/4670k windows 8.1 same corruptions with both computers. Swapping gpus around still had the issue.

China operates the biggest bot networks in the world, as the Github incident proved. All software made in China has to be approved before going on sale. You would seriously trust a chinese firewall? (Unless it's the great firewall of course :D )
