do i have a bottleneck with this x1950Pro?

hey gurus i was wondering if you all can tell me if i have a possible bottleneck with my vid card...i dont intend to oc the cpu or gpu i just want to know what you guys think?

your CPU is not the fastest.. and the x1950 will be bottlenecked.. IMO.. :X

 

Probably. It may show up in 3dmk05, but otherwsie i wouldnt worry to much about it.

In fact, I just upgraded from an AMD Athlon 64 +3200, to the specs on the left.

I knew my 754 was old, and wanted to bi-pass 939, and be ready for AM2+. I have the PCI-E version of the X1950 Pro, and I can run most recent games (CS:S; GRAW 2; DiRT; Lost Planet; Rainbow Six: Vegas; Tomb Raider: Anniversary; etc.) with all eye-candy up @ decent frame rates...

Yep it is false, I've seen enough benchmarks and ran enough tests to know that a P4 3GHz is comparible to an AMD64 at about 1.4-1.8GHz depending on what is being run.

But in the end yes he will be somewhat bottlenecked but not by a massive amount but still a noticable amount.

 

Biggest bottleneck in your system for games is that 1950 pro, that is unless you play at 1024x768.

 

Lol, netgamer is notorious for being a delusional Intel fanboy, at least when it comes to those pokey P4's. Take his hardware advice, at least on something like this, with a grain of salt the size of Antonio Montana's personal stash.

P4 is great hell of bottlenecker and it's lame CPU, however ur one is good will be bottlenecking but not something you have to worry about that, your FPS will be high enough to compensate about it

 

So now u gonna tell to the world that P4 is better than AMD64? we all know that P4 is hell of bottlenecker and worst cpu ever made from 2004-2007+++, his bottlenecking won't kill hin, my friend with Athlon 64 3200+ and x1950xt plays all games at high detail with high fps.
