Call of Duty Modern Warfare

You are implying that open world games can't have close quarters... which they can ofc. An open world game that has equally complex geometry to a small map game (such as this) should for all intents and purposes be more demanding.
The fact that this game is as demanding as it is, without looking better than it does, speaks volumes about the alleged new engine.

 

How are the visuals with RT? For someone only interested in the SP and graphic quality, is the game worth purchasing?

 

It’s the best looking BF they’ve ever put out imo.

The single player War Stories looks great and so is the SP gameplay.

BUT... I think the new game looks fantastic. And, so far... is completely awesome.
The campaign has been really solid, I love the hallway sweeping/room clearing feel to it. And being able to mount your weapon on door ways and such to peak around corners.
Is really great.

Played this with some friends for the first time last night and we had a blast.
We started off with BF V, as we usually did on “our” night, and then half of us switched over to MW.
Really great fun. The movement, gun feel, game modes, balance, just great. Some really intense moments with S&D, HQ and the new Gunfight mode. Hilarious.
I really love the way they implemented Crossplay, too.
After playing this, it’s really hard to go back to something that doesn’t have all these options.

So, the game is awesome.
This is easily one of the best campaigns in the entire series. And one of the best modern war themed FPS games... out there.
Really loving it, and glad my wife decided I needed a gift.

My only complaint, the stuttering during cutscenes. Is awful.
I've seen that IW are saying they are working on a fix, but... this so widespread, and impacts the campaign so much... how did it not get caught during testing?
I mean, outside of the stuttering, performance is fantastic. Rock solid frame rates, gorgeous visuals. A few missions (specially the night vision ones) border on photo-realism.

And the lip syncing goes out now and then in cut scenes. Otherwise, my FAV milcombat sp campaign and overall game.

 

Yeah, the stuttering messing up the lip sync really kills it.
Also, at times it can get bad enough you can't make out what they are saying. Sucks, because the game is amazing.

My wife watched me play the Embassy mission, and about half way through it she said "I kind of want to watch '13 Hours' again".

 

Is audio for X-FI SB cards still broken?

 

So they removed the Realism Mode? Arrgghh Not impressed!

 

... but they added the NVG mode Hopefully they'll switch it around to keep it entertaining. I'd be surprised if Realism was gone for good.

Hope it returns. It`s a big fav of me and my buds. The NVG Mode is cool n all. But not as cool as Realism. For that matter, NVG should be part of the Realism Mode anyways.

 

I got to rank 132 with a broken controller lol. Cant wait for my new one to arrive this week.
It has been so damn hard, my right stick keeps drifting up for no reason.

The EBR is quiet strong! Been hunting scope glints with it haha, to clear the roofs on ground war.

Havent been playing a cod game this damn much sinds cod1 days.
