I'd have to say oblivion, far cry then hl2. Oblivion wins on graphics and gameplay as well, im an fps lover, but oblivion really has captured me, 60 odd hours of gameply and ive only completed 20% of the game. sry i pressed quote instead of edit lmao
Farcry, no doubt, if the models weren't all plastic, it'd look a hell a lot better though. Oblivion is good, but last night playing farcry w/ hdr, I realized that the outdoor environments were about the same, and the characters in oblivion look like **** (faces). HL2 for realism, Quake4 for just awesomeness. Fear for effects.
That has nothing to do with the quality of graphics, that's because it was programmed ****ty and they marketed it as "no pc can run it!" Well, a lot of PCs can't run TR:L on nextgen, but it still doesn't look anywhere near as good as HL2, Farcry, Q4, or riddick. And also, high end ATI cards can run EQ2 at max settings, ati has a HUGE boost in that game for some reason.
I don't know why people think TRL looks good... even maxed it looks average at best... Are u people blind???
oblivion looks like **** with out HDR which is a problem and shows that they put more effort in lighting than actually detail and it also has very unrealistic HDR( ever go outside and see a house so bright it burns your eyes?) and on top of that the coding sucks balls Ill have to so FEAR is prbably one of the best and call of duty 2 at high res and everything maxed Also HL2 lost coast has the best HDR ive ever seen and HDR like that is musch more realistic than that Oblivion **** and at 1680x1080 with x4 aa and af16 it looks better than fear no why? they made their characters more detailed and FEAR's ppl have a doom3 look kinda soft look with not alot of facial detail liek the source engine provides so actually HL2 Lost Coast, COD2 and FEAR
y does everybody keep saying far cry? Maybe a year ago, but it, in reality, is nothing compared to fear, cod2, or oblivion. Havent you wondered y you were able to play it maxed out with hdr at 1600x1200, but not b able to play cod2 at 1280x1024 maxed? Far cry used to be, hands down, the best looking game, but its been 2 years about and time to move on.
Crysis, heck it won the best PC game awards, Best shooter award and Best Graphics award at E3. My money is on Crysis.
yeah, I thought crap would be censored out... Hey dojomann, I know about hl2 map packs, and they're good looking pieces of work, but the lightning and shadows etc look still crap compared to modern games...
LoL what does Fear make so good game? shadows? nope they dont do! lightings no again! i think in FarCry are almost same lighting - Shadow effects like in Fear but i like HL2 more then eny of thise games! and HL2 look more leastic then Fear does!! HL2 Models are cool and realistics.. they did huge work on that! and steam is working greath all updates what make game more cooler!! damn.... Hl2 is greath game for now!! its our gen what ever u say
exactly. i think everyone is just remembering farcry when it first came out. and how it was king. but that was 3 years ago.....
