How did you guys fix the Windows 7 problem? A friend of mine wants to play on his Core i5/GTX670 system but all he get is stuttering. Even on the lowest possible settings.

EDIT - We just found out that only 2GB RAM is detected in his systemen. That must be the problem.

There never was a W7 problem! BF4 runs like perfectly smooth on my system (specs to the left) Here are the exact settings I use for BF4:

    Resolution: 1080P
    Texture Quality: Ultra
    Texture Filtering: Ultra
    Lightning Quality: Ultra
    Effects Quality: Ultra
    Post Process Quality: Ultra
    Mesh Quality: Ultra
    Terrain Quality: Ultra
    Terrain Decoration: Ultra
    Antialiasing Deferred: OFF
    Antialiasing post: OFF
    Ambient Occlusion: SSAO

Average frame rate: 80 retail fraps!

    And I am using W7 64.

Tonight want to play this. Hoping no game breaking crashes. Lag is K. Game crash after match is K. But during a big game crash is annoying.

I'll be happy with BF4 again when they allow ranked servers to have more than 200 (and only 100 on official servers) tickets again. Can't be bothered playing if rounds only last 5 minutes or so when even running from an SSD you spend a minute or thereabouts on loading and debriefing screens.

With the latest patch i can play again at:
High settings ( Antialiasing Deferred - Antialiasing Post: off, Lighting & Effects Quality: Low) + Resolution Scale 150%
With these settings i have 60-70 average framerate on every map. A very smooth experience overall.

    Pre Patch
I had to lower my settings at:
Medium settings ( Antialiasing Deferred - Antialiasing Post: off, Lighting & Effects Quality: Low) + Resolution Scale 140%
Even with these settings i had drops in framerate below 50 frames and not a smoth experiance.

    OS: Windows 7

so after patch i have significantly better framerate

Yes absolutely. That's one reason I avoid the high ticket servers like the plague. Matches just last far too long.
400 tickets seems to be the "official" value and that's a good one. Especially if the game crashes in the end :D

Low GPU usage? Typical CPU problem. Phenom 2, that's your problem right there.

Finally got the game (no thanks to Origin). I've had 2 crashes so far, one was exiting the game, the other was during a round change. So nothing too annoying. Though for some reason I have had my stats not save even without crashes. I.E. I hit rank 2 2 rounds in a row.

1080P, everything on Ultra no AA/AO and 150% scale 60-80FPS, Network Smoothing at 0%. No real lag/fps issues but the registry could still use some help.

Yes and it works really well, finally found a use for tablets lol (my second monitor doesn't work with the 290x no analog but that works well too)

Yeah I have played final game on windows 7 same specs and all seemed fine.

Worse servers are rush with over 9000 tickets where the defending team will never win and the admins are strangely always on the attacking team..

Also just a note I will still be getting a server where you guys are more than welcome to play on, it will be 32man ,obliteration, rush and probably some domination, tdm to brake the modes up. Game will have no rubbish like 3d spotting and will more than likely be hardcore but with mini map. I already have another admin whos going to help pay, donations will be welcome but not needed to play (I will probably offer vip spots and other goodies for donations)

    This would of all been up and running first week if it wasn't for this silly 290x as I can barely play for 10mins at the moment without the card exploding ;_;

But yeah I will post here when it's up and running.

I get high frames, but the experience is not smooth cause it stutters a lot. The only time it's 100% smooth is when the framrate is at constant 120 fps.

I don't know about anyone else but if I'm not playing hardcore the weapons seems so off compared to BF3, does anyone else feel this. The hit detection feels way off?
