Look at this: https://gfxbench.com/compare.jsp?benchmark=gfx40&did1=53156431&os1=Windows&api1=gl&hwtype1=iGPU&hwname1=AMD+Radeon(TM)+Vega+10+Mobile+Graphics&D2=AMD+A12-9800E+RADEON+R7,+12+COMPUTE+CORES+4C+8G The AMD A12-9800E already has very good gaming numbers (taking into consideration power consumption and price), and if the numbers are true, the 2700U seems to have almost double the performance on some benches (only looking at offscreen). Tesselation is more than double the performance. Can't wait to get a Raven Ridge Zotac Zbox on Christmas.
Although it seems that the driver overhead is killing its performance: https://gfxbench.com/compare.jsp?be...+i7-7560U+CPU+with+Iris(TM)+Plus+Graphics+640 Let's see how it does power/price wise compared to Intel. Edit: just noticed that the GPU is running at 300 MHz (that's the usual "low power" AMD uses on other APUs, happens sometimes when no HDMI device is connected). Edit 2: more info here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/6skigd/gfxbench_amd_ryzen_7_2700u_amd_ryzen_5_2500u/
As you can see it's a fine improvement over Bristol Ridge: https://browser.geekbench.com/processors/1945
