No, this crap is not fully compatible with Radeon RX Vega M GH..
Mantle does not work and maybe some other features.

What's funny is that after the colors go all haywire, try changing resolutions. It'll fix the issue.

Thanks for the tip, I just remembered I still have restart64.exe from CRU at hand since the UVD bug days. It should work too if changing resolution is enough.

    That is the question.
You dont understand the issue and introduce immaturity to a serious complaint.
Point out where I used a display with DVI, that will be a good place to start.

I just checked his post and no where he says anything about a DVI to HDMI converter...

I just don't understand the mindset of Loco here.
It's ALWAYS the user's fault. Never AMD.

I mean, my self I never had such problems either, but, I've personally diagnosed from both AMD and nVidia similar problems other people complains.
    Though, rare, it can happen.

Thanks for the kind words, i would love to go back to school, the best years.

I remember we had Windows 7 back then, good times. :)

HBCC related high idle clocks bug still present for me with the updated WHQL drivers. In addition, with it enabled, I've also noticed high RAM retention in the driver cache.

I'm assuming it would have been caught out if related to the feature update, so probably have to wait until a new driver shows up. That said, I may try reducing the total HBCC size from 16 GB down to 12 GB, and see if that helps in the mean time.

Either way, it's not like the extra buffer is that important in most games. :p

Here's your DVI reference. It suggested that you were doing HDMI to DVI. If not, then nevermind. My comments about Win10 however, still hold. :)

Found a fix for the sleep bug:

Uninstalled 19.5.2 (the beta and the WHQL systems didn't show any difference in the sleep bug behavior)
Let Windows 10 download Crimson 17.1.1 (!?) from Windows Updates, and install it.

No more sleep issues. I'll take a functional PC over performance, I guess. It's the cost of cutting corners.

All my displays were HDMI. My comments about Win10 still hold. :)

I was upgrading my machine last night on 1903 and I noticed this bug. I think the problem is with freesync. When i turn off freesync fluent design works (turn off freesync and then logoff computer). Can anyone else try this?

Some people claim that 17.1.1 give better performance in certain games like Rocket League (RX 480) at least with a cpu bottlenecking. Do you notice anything like that?

I don't play Rocket League, so I can't tell. What's amazing is that a lot of newer games like Resident Evil 2, RAGE 2, Metro Exodus, etc. show zero performance regression going from 19.5.2 to 17.1.1 apart from a few odd stutters here and there.

Well im in 17.7.1 because i got much less stutters in games even the first time compared with any 19.x.x version, i didn't test so much the last 18.x.x before Adrenalin 2019, only thing i notice in newer version was better Vsync frametimes in World of Warcraft, i suppose because of the game support.

I would stay with 17.7.1 but then I wanted to play Division 2 (DX12) and boy, there was messed gfx everywhere.

    weird thing i cannot explain
i uninstalled 19.5.2 just to try 17.7.1 and all of a sudden i took back crap load of FPS from specific game
i had like 23 fps with latest drivers and 45 fps with 17.7.1 with specific settings
    crazy thing
of course before i try the old drivers i revert back to normal all settings to default at 19.5.2 drivers just to be sure
    bah

What specific game are we talking about it here? That statement just sound silly.

17.7.1 is from 2017 and its a shame why newer gives me much lower fps
