That program is just for CPU optimization? But high performance power plan change pci express link state power management to off which is very important for eliminate stuttering.

Not only that but also to make your cpu always run at full speed regardless of usage. For example my cpu always runs on 4.4GHz when running on performance mode and when not gaming I will switch to balance mode so my cpu will clock down to 800mhz

Yes I see now that it has also ability to change performance profiles. Do you have to setup profiles for every game or just install program and leave it to do it by itself?

My system is always set to high performance and PCIe link state power managment is turned OFF, and I still have stuttering. Maybe it's cpu thing, AMD vs Intel...

Try with this program Process Lasso, it is for CPU optimization also.

If you find your GPU dropping its clock too much for your liking in some titles, try MSI's Afterburner with Unofficial Overclocking set to 2; that will lock it at whatever you set.

Maybe it's a CPU Issue, maybe, but until you've tried everything else, you can't blame the CPU at the moment. Either way, we really shouldn't be doing all this stuff ourselves, it should be game developers that have this cr*p sorted out themselves. I hate stuttering, that's why if anything stutters, I always try everything possible to fix it. Usually most of the games/programs work fine "out of the box".

Also try this, I use MSI AfterBurner and I have this setup also; among other settings.

Use MSI AfterBurner, but don't play around with the settings if you don't know what they mean. If you put the mouse over any of the settings, a bubble will pop up with a description which you can read (it helps for beginners).

Last time Nvidia delayed drivers, was when they released their 8800s (can't remember any delays later than that), lasted about 6 months or so that :p

Doesn't look like any new drivers will be coming out in February. I guess next hope is 15.3.

We still have 1 day to go. But I don't see me getting it February cause my Internet line at home is not working so I will have to wait till Monday to get my drivers. Thanks AMD for letting down thousands of customers.

You guys are a bit too dramatic. AMD drivers are just fine.

I had two GTX970's up until just a month ago... I sold them because of the VRAM issue and because their drivers were lacking many SLI profiles as well.

To be honest, I am much happier with these R9 290X's.
