I play this on the oculus rift and it took me 45 mins to simply move from one side of the medical bay to the other, you just won't want to move from under the medical beds and tables, the atmosphere and immersion is just nothed up to 100 when you play this in vr, it makes the fear and immersion factor of RE7 in vr, look like candy crush. lol
I should really finish this one day. No I didn't get scared, just was busy. Seriously... and these pants were brown all along...
Haven't played it but watched a bit of gameplay and actually wasn't half bad for a mobile game. It's actually quite neat mechanicswise, similar to FNAF but with more versatility. Tense as f anyhow, got another pair of brown pants just from watching!
omg specular aliasing and pixel crawling... not even 5120x2880 and ingame SMAA T2X can mute it. there is Temporal AA injector fix, but it's for Steam and it doesnt work with Epic store version
I used AliasIsolation 1.06 a few years back. It worked great. I even did some custom changes to their shaders. Honestly, TAA makes the game even more scary, maybe too scary for some people (like me)
yeah that's the one! 1.06 using it as of today and it looks gorgeous. 25x16 with 1.06 antialiasing looks better than the retail @5k
Digital Foundry's video covering the Switch version of Alien Isolation is very interesting for this reason. That version/port has modern TAA and has a lot less discernible aliasing to my eye. Meanwhile, the PC version is clearly better in other ways if you have a decent rig, but the aliasing is pretty darn nasty looking in this game, yeah. My issue with the Switch build mostly comes down to input lag. There are several switch ports where the input delay is very noticeable to me and this happens to be one of them. Still, a pretty good port overall if you can get past that imo. The modern TAA improves the presentation so much I think. I think this game is great, but too scary for me lol.
If you are brave enough already mentioned 1.06 aliasIsolation completly cleans things even at native 25x16 https://github.com/aliasIsolation/aliasIsolation/releases but it requires Steam version
Has any of you tried this game on Windows 11 with Auto HDR ? I am pleasantly surprised how well Windows 11 Auto HDR handles this game. It looks very, very nice. 10-Bit color + Auto HDR + 4K + 120fps = Awesome.
