I've reduced the LOD as much as I could without reducing visual quality for 0.97c

Mediafire uploaded my file but after I looked at my files again it was gone. I hate that website for life now. So i'm going to upload it to mega. It will be available to download from guru3d later anyways.

Uploading 0.97c without maldo textures, then with the textures.

So far no, but they're also in TW v0.8. Just pull out the _textures folder.

    Yes, he did.
LOD is Level of Detail, for distant models. The higher level you set it, the more you are able to see buildings, trees and such.

Yes he did, showed screen shots too. LOD=Level of Detail. Adjusting this so further objects are detailed and in focus can hinder performance, but looks a lot better.

Oh thanks for reminding me, I was going to ask if you're still using VAAS's optimized LOD settings from .08? They take effect when selecting the "high" LOD setting ingame.

Those LOD tweaks he contributed were fantastic for minimizing stuttering.

DOF=Depth of field. It's the blurry effect.

    Google is your friend.

Can someone upload 0.97c with MalDo textures included? Someone that knows how to do it and without replacing my files too. 15-20 mins to upload 0.97c without MalDo textures.

Sure thing. I can do it when 0.97c link is ready. I have a 1Gbps internet connection (here at work at least) so it shouldn't take too long. I can post it to the thread, and also send link in a pm so it doesn't get lost.

    I'll do it.

Can you confirm if it's right the way I do? I actually use the whole "graphics" folder, when it asks for overwrites I click no.

Or is it enough just to drag the "_textures" folder?

Let me know about it and I'll do it as soon as 0.97c is out.

Edit: cmh175 asked first so, nevermind. Anyway, I'm here just in case you guys need me. :)

    Sorry to add another question

Is version 8 needed? if so im having problems using it on windows 8.1, after i apply the settings i get a window asking if i want to run it but i cant click on the window to approve. It deselects itself somehow. Also is the 97b version already have the nice textures? Thanks for this amazing mod .7 was my favorite, I think the 97c will top it!

You don't need v0.8 for this. v0.97b has the updated textures TW did himself, not Maldo's though. v0.97c will have an alternate version with them.

With 97b, is there much point in running textures at ultra? I'm using a 780ti and get terrible stutter, will I need maldo still to get ultra textures at high setting?
