Tbh Scan have been doing that for a while regarding stock. Its only worth ordering from them if its actually in stock at the time. If they have an ETA on a card say in 2 days and you pre-order, i have found its very rare for them to actually deliver on-time. As a rule i only buy from them now if there in-stock from the word go.
Exactly why I am waiting. I phoned Scan yesterday and they said they have 100 units of the ref EVGA card and 200 units of the SC EVGA card on order.. who knows when they will arrive though
http://nl.guru3d.com/vRamBandWidthTest-guru3d.zip Run the benchmark here To run it use the bat but first right click and edit. Options are vRamBandwidthTest.exe [BlockSizeMB] [MaxAllocationMB] So we change the bat line from Code: vRamBandwidthTest.exe 64 3072 to Code: vRamBandwidthTest.exe 64 6144 Block size stay at w/e Max allocation would be 6144
Nvidia didn't cut the ROP count there will not be a memory "bug" with this card. You can tell that the ROP count is unchanged because of the performance difference from the Titan X (pretty much non-existent). If you post this again I will report you for trolling. No one has the card yet and all you are trying to do is cause a problem.
Got both of mine in yesterday and ran TW3 for a couple of hours. Now to tinker with them when I get home from work.
Evga Hybrid 980ti may soon be available: http://www.evga.com/Products/Specs/GPU.aspx?pn=16ADD31D-8463-430A-A2A3-F9F1FD49E9A6 If its anything like the 980 Hybrid, it would probably make it the fastest, coolest Ti you can get.
I also received an email regarding the stock shortages though mine stated that they expected to get stock in tomorrow (4th) and, if so, that the card would be sent for Friday delivery. That would suit me just fine as I can fit in the evening then I will have all weekend to play with my new "toy". Actually, I got two replies as one was in response to the email I sent last night.
I may run a few built-in game benchmarks but to be honest I get bored of doing them and would rather experience the difference for myself while actually playing games. We'll see though.
I bought my EVGA GTX 780 and EVGA GTX 980 SC from Scan and they delivered exactly when they said they would. This pre-order is the first time they haven't. Disappointing but I am not really in any rush to get it as I would not have fitted it while the weekend anyway. I will be annoyed if it not sent while next week though, particularly as Scan have already taken the money for the card on the 1st.
gonna grab 2 of these when they go on order at ocuk. Can't wait to not have to blast air at my gpus during summer!
Prices in Europe seem completely outrageous. R290X EU price = 349$ R290X US price = 294$ Difference of 294/349 = 16% 980Ti EU price = 880$ 980Ti US price = 649$ Difference of 649/880 = 27% Now some, ~15%, of this is probably in line with our increased tax on goods situation over here in EU, were you guys have your state taxes which is ~15% lower or so. Makes sense. But 27% is flat out scam. One can buy ( 880/294= 2.993 ) three R290X gpus at that price. Queue Nvidia Mexican youtube vid for added comedy effect. Nobody in their right mind buys this card at these prices.
well if I somehow to manage to sell my gtx 980, I'm in for one too! yea I'd like to wait for the aftermarket fans, MSI, EVGA etc...
Imo paying $150 extra for the hybrid is a waste of money. I'd go add the $200 more and get a Titan X.
