The *deep breath 'Inno3D iChill GTX680 Herculez 3000 Version 4GB GDDR5' is now available from a certain store for just over £500, the pcb has been updated from the 2gb version and looks very tidy indeed. It's German made, probably the best cooled 680 in existance like their 670 herculez, Guru3d reviewed their 660, amazing temps. http://videocardz.com/33749/inno3d-readies-4gb-version-of-gtx-680-herculez-3000 I'm gonna hit the buy button in a few days, ...
Wow makes me want to switch out my GTX 680 Windforce for one of those for the extra 2GB Vram. Play Skyrim lots so Vram fills up fast even at 1080P.
why? do you look in side your case while playing your games or using your pc? does its color effect said parts performance.?
Now i'm unshure... I was planning on getting the GTX 680 ASUS DirectCU II TOP this fall. Guess i'll keep an eye on that card now.
I don't think the extra 2gb is necessary unless going SLI. I often run out of horsepower before I run out of vram on my 2gb model. I am interested in the cooler though.
My current card is German built like this one, it has the same three fan cooler but with a different shell, in all honesty i've not seen it go above 55c. I game with v sync @60fps so generally the gpu will be @say average 60 -80% usage with the games i play so that helps with temps too. But yes, if this card is anything like the one i have (hehe i bought this one cause it was so similar to the ice dragon) then you will be totally blown away with the standard of cooling, i thought my 580 directCUII was cool (that used to reach 61 - 63c while gaming) this idles at 25c and in games it's in the forties generally. Edit: It's whisper quiet too.
