Winver shows OS Build 21332.1010

 

i share the same build and same drivers, are you running GTX 760 or have you upgraded to something recent.

On my 2 laptops (One with intel UHD and RTX2080S, second with HD620 and gtx1050 ) after upgrading to 21332 all directx 12 games and 3dmark aps like nightride or timespy are not starting. Only blackscreen. On both gpus on both laptops.
Also dx11 games at fullscreen are not starting. For dx11 games disabling fullscreen optimization or starting with windowed mod helps but for dx12 it does not change anything. Tested also on clean instal and it is the same. Tested on both latest official and insider gpu drivers for Nvidia and intel.

 

I'll test 3dMark timespy and report back

New windows insider is now avalible 21337. They saying about some nice fixes like:
- We fixed a DWM memory leak impacting Insiders in recent flights.
- We fixed a set of issues causing crashes in many x64 apps on ARM64, particularly in scenarios involving video or DRM content. Examples of x64 apps no longer crashing include Microsoft Translator, BlueJeans, The CW, Alexa, Astroneer, and Epic Games Launcher.
- We fixed an issue in recent flights that could result in some games freezing after locking and unlocking your PC while the game was in full screen mode. This issue may also have resulted in freezes after ALT + Tab.

The third one I have observed trying to run dx11 games.

So maybe something is connected for black screen issues that are reported.

upgraded the hd 620 to latest dch?

 

As I wrote, I have tried latest official dch for both, intel and nvidia and tried also insider wddm 3.0 drivers for both.
I will be updating insider build tommorow and I will report.
On 21296 it was all okay, after updating to 21332 problem occured. I have tried than windows in place upgrade, after no luck i have also tried clean instal on second drive with 21332 but it was the same as after normal windows update.

Btw I habe tried enable/disable some features regarding dx12 with mach2 but also with no luck.

I have high hopes for 21337.

uninstall gpu tweak 2, update rtss.

i don't see any similar feedback on the hub.

 

Does Windows 10 HDR affect input lag?

 

I am not using gpu tweak 2, only aftrrburner. As for rtss I have latest version.

But anyway after updating to 21337 on one of my lap laptops everything went back to normal. Tested with official and insider drivers for both gpus. So this was some insider bug I think. Should be one of resolved issues I have listed above. But in this win branch this type of problems can hapen.

Later at night I will update my second lap to get rid of problems.

What old control panel? Nvidia had the same control panel for the last 500 years.
If you mean DCH/Standard version then no, these come only in DCH format.

the dch control panel is just a win32 bridge packaging the standard drives nvcpl.

 

Nvidia put a note on dev page.

"New developer drivers are planned to be made available this coming Monday 03/22/21, thanks for your patience."

 

Hello! Since we have pretty similar specs, do you see differences between Vulcan/DX12 with this driver? With the latest official release, Vulcan is causing low GPU utilization for me, and in anything CPU-limited it seems like DX12 is 10-20 fps better at the same (manually maxed) settings. That's with a 5950x and a 3090.
