Small project for my brother, had some spare parts and big shout out to Scipio for the 970 for my brothers rig!

My little brother had a prebuilt Pentium Lenovo that took a crap on him right after @scipio sent me the 970 for his rig. So he had $300 to burn, and I had a spare FX 8120 and the Evo 212 laying around. He did the research, bought the rest of it, and asked me to make a glass side panel and a PSU shroud. This was very easy, a meter saw, plexiglass, and black plastidip! The case is a budget Corsair, not sure what series or model name. All I did to it I took out the hard drive bracket since he has one big ssd instead, took out the optical drive bays since he won't need them at all, and he wanted RGB. Now the Asus Crosshair doesn't have an RGB header, and the NZXT Hue is quite expensive. So he kind of surprised me with this one...He found Chinese generic RGB fans with a controller and remote, 4 of them for under $30 shipped on ebay which is pretty good. So far they seem pretty good. The only problem with the rig, is the Evo 212 cannot keep the 8120 cool for crap no matter what thermal paste I use, and fan settings. So I'm thinking and looking at some of the tips of the heat pipes the heat pipes are closed off too much, so probably going to have to get a new cooler for him. He wants a water cooling system in there, I just have to make the brackets to secure it where the drive bays were.

All in all, the modding to his rig was basically a guinea pig experiment to what I want to do when I build my girlfriend her rig, and when I start to build these PC's and glass panels for people.

    Asus Strix Geforce 970
Asus ROG Crosshair V Forumla Z
    Samsung 850 500gb SSD

I'll have to make a video of the rgb fans and their performance and setting them up. Pretty easy stuff though.

my cpu usually hovering between 20% to 40% depend on games and programs.

I'm running 1440p monitor at 120hz. GPU hovering 40% for classic games and today games can be 75% to 90%.

    Many pictures build update.

I tried vertical a GPU build now. Got a raiser PCI extension cable from Amazon UK and had to rework my water cooling. All seems to be going well. All tests run well, this is a good cable. Slightly warmer case. but still my i7 8700k under heavy gaming load is "only 55 celsius"
Note ghetto mod of the back of my trusty Phanteks Enthoo Pro M. I got the screws from a Kraken build.

Really liking this case.. but will it fit a push pull front mounted 360 rad plus full CPU and GPU water cooling?

It will fit. If i remember correctly there is about 17cm of space. My rad is 6cm + 2,5 cm fans.

Its a lot smaller now... proper gaming and overclocking has removed lots of bubbles
I will have it again soon .......about to rebuild in a new case.
I do hate marks left behind

I see your top is closed off..
What are you 8700k temps like gaming and idle?
I am obsessed with ventilation and heat. That why I have not changed from my Phanteks Entho Pro M. best ventilated case out there
