Action anime?....hmm -Black Lagoon -Michiko to Hatchin -Noir (planned to be a live action series!) -Madlax -Samurai Champloo -Cowboy Bebop -Macross Zero -Puella Magi Madoka Magica -Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni -Ghost In The Shell Action anime Movies -Sword Of The Stranger -Spriggan -Redline -Ghost In The Shell -Blood (movie is good, the series that followed are boring) -Evangelion You Can Not Advance (You probably don't even need to see the series after watching this) This movie > the series I'm more of an anime comedy fan since a badass action series only comes by about every other year.
Look up Yu Yu Hakusho. The forefather to animes like Bleach and Naruto, while being infinitely better. History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi is another of the 'better' fighting animes out there, again much more so than both Bleach and Naruto. Both Yu Yu and Kenichi are a little slow to start, but once they get going they far surpass the more 'popular' long running animes out there. One Piece is an obvious suggestion, though I'll be suprised if you don't watch it considering your enjoyment for bleuto. There's also Katekyō Hitman Reborn, which when given the chance is at times absolutely hilarious and has some very good action sequences. For something a little different look up Air Gear - one of my favourite manga's, it has a 20 episode + season anime run and there are currently a number of OVA's being released which are pretty damn good. Speaking of OVA's, you can't go wrong with Hellsing Ultimate which is outright fantastic. I'm also currently watching a show called Beelzebub, which is a comedy / action anime regarding a high school delinquent accidentally becoming a demons foster father, which I would highly recommend. Finish that lot up with the origional Dragon Ball (Not Z or GT) and you should be good for awhile. As for animes not quite as close to Naruto / Bleach etc? Code Geass is an absolute work of art, spanning two seasons. Hands down in my top 5 favourite shows of all time. Monster Is a very dark, broody anime but with a brilliant plot and some stunning visuals.
oh my god i cant stop laughing...but yeahhh beserk is really good, i didnt suggest it specifically bc OP was all like "movies". so cowboy bebop the series, big O, trigun, gurren lagann since he likes bleach and goofy naruto, and last but not least FLCL
Wow guys slow down Way to many... i watched Claymore but it seems the story is about different characters I liked the first 4 episodes... after that it went completely different. That dissapointed me I'm getting Inu Yasha atm it seems to be pretty populair aswell. After that i'll try Berserk and Death Note.
I am very surprised no one has mention One Piece - I thought the big 3 in Jump are naruto bleach and one piece. 500+ episodes and 600+chapters(if you read) should keep you busy for a long time. I agree with most people's suggestions Death note is great Code Geass great as well (if you like mecha stuff) Cowboy Bepop Black Lagoon Gun Grave (one of my faves) I would say wait for ergo proxy - it was decent but a bit weird.
