Phil Spencer planning for Xbox 360 games on Windows 10

With the Xbox One now getting backwards compat games in the form of old Xbox 360 titles Xbox head honcho Phil Spencer states he has plans to also bring them to PC gamers via Windows 10 "at some point"

Wow, this is pretty big news- if it happens. There are a bunch of 360 titles I would love to see on the PC that I've already played such as Red Dead Redemption and Catherine.

In fact, just give me a PC port of Catherine and I'm good

 

I always wanted to play Red Dead Redemption, being a huge Wild West fan as a kid (and still am in many ways), so this would be really cool.

 

Yeah it'll be a straight up emulation if it does even get released. Same resolution and all

 

Im pretty sure it will come in the shape of a "simulator"? As in pop the Xbox 360 DVD in and play at whatever predetermined settings it's at. I really doubt they will give us the options to change settings and/or resolution, but who knows.

 

This is awesome news, but I'm not going to hold my breath.
I hope it does come to something down the road, but it's slim that something of use will really come of it.

Though, hopefully Microsoft's (again, hopeful) new stand on PC gaming will lead so better things, such as this in the future.

Because really, playing Condemned 2, Gears 2 and 3... HALO 4 on PC. That would be great.

 

Even if its at original resolution/settings people will always find a way.

Did it stop the developers of Dolphin? Nope.

 

If I could replay Red Dead Redemption and Halo Reach, that would make me very happy!

How are they trying to trick you into a free OS? Specially one that allows you to roll back to your previous OS if you're unhappy with it...

 

I rolled back my laptop and my gaming pc.. lol..

If they actually manage to pull this out of their butt I might install Windows 10..... again..

Awesome. Finally a reason to install Win10 if and when they pull this off. RDR will be the first title i'll play.

 

I always like playing on my pc rather then console.

I own all the halo games for 360 and red redemption. would rather play them on pc if I could.
