As I mentioned before. The graphics cards has coil whine, no doubt about it. But when I place a gts 450 or a gtx 260 in my pc and hold the mic in the same place, there is still noise, only less loud.
Thats weird because that would point to power supply, it would make more noise with gpus that use more power.. why dont you try out OCCT and do the PSU tester and see if the noise gets louder
I'm going to bed, but I'll try later. I've also decided to at least RMA my graphics card and I'll replace my psu just to be sure. If there are any more suggestions please post them since I'm totally lost on this.
Strange way of finding a solution. When given a new method, you use the failed method as proof it wont work?
try linux on usb stick without any hdd's or ssd's also i assume u didnt do through out clean of creative drivers before u took it off so, one u could try is clean install of os without creative plugged http://www.pendrivelinux.com/universal-usb-installer-easy-as-1-2-3/
disassemble the system and dont have anything plugged in except the monitor and keyboard, dont even plug in cd/dvd or hdds. And just keep plugging things in 1-by-1 to find out what's causing the noise.
