Of course I am. The title was misleading, I wasted time looking at it. Clickbait tends to disappoint. You sound like you're trolling.

To be fair i think the thread poster is not native English speaking, though he does a good job.

The early reporting suggested the "gimping" was already resolved when version 411.70 was released. It occurred in the 411.63 driver, and was fixed immediately after. The suggestion here is that the gimping was basically done in the drivers that most reviewers used to review the 1080 Ti performance vs the 2080. The tests done, from the video I watched confirmed that the bug, or whatever it was that caused the gimping to occur on previous generation cards in the review drivers, was already fixed by the time 411.70 was released and FPS went back to normal.

I am sorry guys, the link is fixed.Thread title does not confirm in any way whether NVIDIA gimps video cards or not. It is just the indicator of speculation. Speculation that i am glad now is nothing more.

Yes, i do speak English, i've been in this forum for 10 years now. I do not come often, just for the major benchmarks/reviews/findings.

Sorry but the thread title does suggest Nvidia is gimping older cards. While it wasn't what you meant that's kinda what it says.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is a poor showcase for Kepler especially, but it's hard to say for us with no insight if it's because of negligence from Nvidia's driver team or because Kepler's architecture is bad for that engine.
