OK, after upgrading my PSU from 430 to 600 Watts (like many people here implied more or less kindly) I just checked the affected games again:

And.. still the SAME STUTTERING PROBLEM with the 301.xx line of drivers on DX9 games: The game stutters/hangs heavily when graphic data/textures are loaded into card memory. Just like the other people in the other threads noticed too. This is totally unacceptable for driver for a 500$ card!

When I go back to 300.83 the problem is almost completely gone! Only the normal slight SSD loading stutters are visible there.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations is particularly affected: Just running around in Constantinople shows these stutters instantly.

Well, no harm done with the new PSU. It's good to know that this factor is now completely eliminated, even if it wasn't responsible here.

I'm gonna stay with the 300.83 driver until NVidia fixes their stuff!

    This is a beta driver.
If you arent sure what that means, its probably best to steer clear of them.

I see these as official drivers without MS' blessing attached with the WHQL signature. They will all have problems with random users.

I guess this is going to be cyclic lol.
If you dont understand what beta drivers are for, its best not to use them.
They are for NVidia to try things out so they can make the WHQL drivers stable and for people to 'experiment' if they choose.
    You should expect some problems.
If you dont get any, thats good fortune, not the other way round.

Is anyone experencing crazy physics behaviour in Skyrim? When I walk into a room objects go flying all over the place. Other than that I'm finding Skyrim is playing smoother than previous drivers.

I seem to remember that this was a side effect of turning off vsync or just something that would happen if your FPS was too high. I haven't played Skyrim in a while though so I could wrong.

This also occurs in Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Fallout NV. It's the physics engine.

FYI: Just like ---TK--- pointed out already.. beta or not beta doesn't mean too much with NVidia drivers!

And if you don't know that, its probably best to steer clear of posting strange and ignorant stuff like that.

If you're not interested in information regarding this beta driver stay out of this thread. Believe it or not: Many affected people *are indeed* interested if this stuttering problem is now fixed or not (as you can read for yourself further up).

I experienced alot of stuttering and frameskiping when i use inj_fxaa , smaa, enbseries on games with this driver , its stuttering alot. They were working good when using 295.73.

So far this Beta runs flawless for me yet again.

Just not a big fan of the Adaptive V-Sync.

I've not tried it yet (i use standard V-sync) but experience only some stuttering in D3 and I suppose it could have something to do with the game itself.

Um yes it does, beta doesnt mean WHQL.
I wasnt the one being ignorant, I had to correct what you said because other people might believe it!
    Now you've started name calling.
    Oh the joy.
