    lolwut?

You do realize that IE11 is in many cases as fast, if not faster than Chrome, and typically uses less ram, right?

I've been an exclusive IE user since v4 and still prefer it over anything else. Most of the negative things thrown around are nothing but FUD.

Spartan is nice but needs more of the IE options added in. I have no interest at all in using any Chrome extensions.

Chrome is not bad after you turn off most of the automatic things it does. Firefox is just unacceptable. I have tried every version since the first one and none lasted more than an hour on my system. The same goes for Thunderbird. Everyone in my family and friends except for the single exception of my nephew, uses IE.

If they give Spartan more options like the tracking protection lists of IE, which work just as good as any other ad blocker, I see it being a success. I don't think most people will even care about extensions from another browser.

The time I spent with Project Spartan, aka Edge wasn't very encouraging. Slow to load pages, even the MSN home page took 30 seconds or so to fully load. It should be better on release though. I did like the look and feel of it.

With a disaster called IE, M$ was really close to an...

edge (of the abyss). The new name reflects that situation:banana:

It will be more like Cutting Edge when it's finished.

Of course. It's fun to poke it and set in ablaze though...

All i see in the comments is Internet Explorer hate.

    IE11 works brilliant here.

Agreed. Maybe the EU will force Google to release a browser choice program offering Microsoft Edge, Opera, Firefox etc since Chrome was installed alongside Adobe Flash catching most people out.

I find Spartan/Edge to be extremely fast in build 10074. It does however have problems with some Flash enabled sites even if the Flash Player is enabled.
