hi guys!! If i want to test a grapich card i use valley,3d mark, fumark ...but.... what we have for mouse´s? only gaming? Any program to test a mouse? how to check the sensibility , laser, dpis? Thanks!
The only benchmark i know that is accurate was made by a Overclock.net user ... http://www.overclock.net/t/1535687/mousetester-software
for poll rate testing in Hz: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/Mouse-Rate-Checker.shtml alternatively google for "dimr".
With the "Microe" benchmark you can really see inconsistencies on the tracking and polling. For example My DA has some weird spikes with the polling rate at 1000Hz
Not being helpful, but the way I test a mouse is to plug it in and play with it. If it's comfortable and works well, all good. If it's uncomfortable to hold and/or doesn't work well it's not good.
Thanks for all!! I was comparing some mouse´s with the software. and and really differs between each others
One of the best sites for news (and suprise, it's even in Dutch!) Here's a ton of reviews, you might want to use Google Translate though. Hardware.info
I don't think you need to test a mouse for "performance". Generally you'll have to work out the shape that fits your grip and hand size. Also texture of the plastic can play a part. After that, you'll be looking at sensors and switches. Sensors in most modern decent mice are easily good enough. With switches it's a bit more tricky, some are more reliable than others, the 50m Omrons tend to develop double clicks after a while, just an example. You can always replace the switches with some aftermarket ones, Kailh make some of the best switches on the market. After that you're looking at the mouse feet (skates) and the cord. Again, both can be replaced, feet are super easy to replace, cord is a bit more tricky but nothing difficult. Paracords are really good. Ideally you want to go wireless though. Weight also comes into equation. Some love their mice super light (around 60g or less) and some don't mind a heavier mouse. Depends on use too. Finding the perfect mouse will almost always come down to finding the perfectly balanced mouse for your grip and hand size. Everything else is replaceable.
Depends, 3360 & 3389 sensors are great, but predating the widespread usage of those sensors, there were A LOT of things wrong with a lot of gaming mice Considering he asked in 2016 and this is a necro thread, his question was still quite valid back then xD @lexer98 already give him a link to proper testing software.
