Download the Nvidia GeForce 352.86Â WHQL driver as released by NVIDIA.... GeForce 352.86 WHQL driver download
I didn't even get to the benchmarking part cause the driver is missing 2 very important settings under desktop color 1) Digital color format 2) Dynamic range Another useless Nvidia driver EDIT:I spoke too soon the settings are there just under another tab. but im getting black screens at idle.
Thanks for the heads up, @haxzion. I'll skip this one as Dynamic range actually made a difference. I could see better colors and can confirm that it's not a placebo. Digital color format was useful for users having color problems. My recommendation : Skip it!
Thanks. Same here too. Ended up getting an almost faded desktop and my Boo background does not look as better as it did a few minutes ago.
http://www.geforce.com/drivers Found it here and downloadable from nvidia site. They are also mirrored on this website.
Is this the driver that makes sure my 780's run Witcher 3 like **** so Nvidia can pretend that Maxwell is way more efficient than it actually is?
yes sad but true the 780's keeps up with a 960 , so I guess that is all we get for a $500-$650 us gtx780 now days.
I have been waiting for AMD to update their drivers for Project Cars and add the Witcher III profile (and to fix my 200pts loss in Firestrike) and was about to post " Well done nVidia ", then I read reports such as this all over the place. Bad form nVidia....
If there would be actual proper benchmarks that would confirm such claims .. but in absence of that, trolls will be trolls. What they might not do anymore is optimize older architectures as much as newer ones for brand new games, but I highly doubt its going to run "artificially" slower with a new driver, like the trolls want you to believe.
Well this is disappointing, I was hoping to weasel away with 60fps in The Witcher 3 with a 970 using these drivers somehow. Which shouldn't be that outrageous of a hope considering these things are supposed to be towards the high end and cost a ton here. That and this game is supposed to be optimized for nVidia cards. I have all post-processing disabled, Hairworks off, shadows at low, and I still can't get steady 60fps even with this massive OC... which actually ended up crashing at the first battle scene. I wonder if that was a fluke or if the OC is not stable in this game.
I read somewhere that the Ultra settings are not meant for current cards. I think I read that before the Titan X was released.
780 on par with a 960? Yeah right, NVIDIA did some massive sh!t there. I thought my GPU was as powerful as a GTX 770 [with OC of course]. NVIDIA is probably trying to "encourage" gamers to get Maxwell. *Still waiting for Pascal*.
