Quarter Cask like other laphroaigs is very smokey. Awesome whisky. It really develops with exposure to air.

If you didn't like Laphroaig then I highly doubt you'll like Ardbeg, TBH.

You won't be able to go to the gym & work out. :D

And IF you do, it will be 10 times harder!

Tss! I ran for an hour outside today in the cold after having a few too many beers last night. Best way in the world to reset your body! :D

Yeah i know what you mean, Sometimes a bit of sweat can do the world of good for a hangover but yesterday i was so bad i was still drunk just walking around the house lol, I spent the whole day in bed and the wife went ballistic but took her for a nice meal on the evening.

Even my excuse that it was Christmas didnt work lol:)

I didnt spend hardly anytime with our Daughter towards the weekend cause of working late and the time i did get i went out with a few mates.

She was just stamping her authority all over the place, Best thing to do is just agree tbh, Saves a ****load of verbal abuse hehe.

Right, so I just won £68 on the West Ham vs Liverpool game (£2 on Glen Johnson to score first). I'm willing to spend up to £50 on a bottle of Speyside/Highland single malt. I'm thinking maybe Macallan 12yo, Glenlivet 18yo, maybe a Glenfarclas of some sort (105 maybe) or a Aberlour A'bunadh. Anyone have any experience with these? I know the A'bunadh is fairly inconsistent, oh, maybe I would settle for the 12yo Aberlour, never tried it though, only tried the 10yo. Same goes for Macallan, only ever tried the 10yo, it's pretty easy to drink and I'm hoping the 12yo is more challenging. Like my sherried whisky, if you have any other recommendations shoot them my way :)

If you can find it Royal Lochnagar Distiller Edition is decent (1998 probably or 1996 but is even harder to get now).

No problem. Have you tried the Sainsburys Own ("Taste the difference") Speyside 12yo Whisky? Worth a punt at £22~ (although I have bought a few at nearly half that when on offer :p).

The 1996 is hard to get and the 1998 has gone up in price since I bought mine at £40!

I pretty much only drink Coors light, just like the taste of it. 2 boxes for £16, can't go wrong.
