here its in chinese. i havent got to the translation part yet but benchies are universal: AMD AthlonX2 4000+@2900MHz 2Gb DDR2@580MHz 3-3-3-5-11-1T, Amd 690G+SB600 HD3870 512M DDR4@775/2400MHz Cat 8.43Beta drivers 3DMark03 - 29937 3DMark05 - 14885 3DMark06 - 9528 not as good as the 8800GT for its price but...ATi boys have something to boast about. its dual slot. where im staying there are already people sellin this and its 3850 brother and its way cheaper than the 8800gt. the 3850 is selling the most atm..going for about 115quid or 240$ inclusive of tax cheers
hmmm....why is the bios version hidden.Anyways these scores are not impressive at all(maybe because of the CPU). sincerely i don't think the 3870XT will be faster than the 8800GT. I would like so much for ATI to make a card faster than 8800GT but 3870 is not the case
yes but i've yet to see benchies of this with an E6850 which i (with fingers crossed) think it will be more appealing. time will tell
i wouldnt go by those benchmarks at all.. the CPU they used isnt that great for benchmark purposes to be honest. If they used a decent 3Ghz intel Quad core. the results would change dramatically.
My 2x4600 running 2.8 gets 10,150 in 3d06 with my Evga ssc 8800... So i dare say the cards are pretty close..
From what I've seen so far, the 3870 isn't going to be out performing the 8800GT, but supposedly, it will be priced the same or cheaper. Not to mention it has HDMI and Avivo. Although from a gamer's perspective, the 8800GT would probably be the better buy. On the other hand, you can pair the 3870 with a 3850 or another 3870 in CrossFire. Plus there's the advantage that when you have your 3870 and the 3900 comes out, you can link those two...and when the 4870 comes out, you can link all three...supposedly.
http://www.techpowerup.com/?44274 Direct compation for the HD 3850 Pro would likely be an 8800GT 256MB card which should have some sort of price parity. Nevertheless, the HD 3850 Pro was benched against an 8600GTS OC and an HD 2600XT.
