The credit for c***up of the year goes to Facebook. The company keeps promising things but as it now turns out it stored the passwords of hundreds of millions of users completely unencrypted, yes that...

I use random passwords for everything so when something like this happens i have nothing to worry about except in the one instance.

How the hell developers miss password protection. Doesn't seem like a "Bug" to me.

I bet it was intentional - an attempt to repel the hackers with self-respect.

"The company assures that the passwords were not visible outside the company and there is no evidence that they have been misused by employees. "

I don't see any problem here: Book of Faces, alongside Book of Passwords. Taken together, they make Book of feces... New age literature...

    Facebook scandals:
    Everyone: Dead man walking.
Luckily, FB has more companies under their umbrella to withstand the siege.
Even so, people are leaving from the platform, but still using WhatsApp or Instagram.
What Zuck accomplished in the last year alone in terms of bad publicity and damaging everyone's trust is astounding.
For sure, sooner or later FB will face some radical changes or demise.
Not having FB doesn't necessarily makes you or me safe from harm.
Having a Google account is in many ways the same if not even worse in terms of privacy.

good thing I dont use my FB anymore I stoped using after I remove FFBE game bind from FB it only use for odd contest that need FB. and none of the info said FB page is really is all made up with fake info what info these is there and the email is linked to email I dont use for anything other then the FB page i no long user.

None the less storing 100 or millions of user/pass on there servers as plain text is very very bad for such company
