Yeah that, one of the main limitations with IDtech5 and now IDtech6 it looks like, hopefully Vulkan makes multi-GPU usage possible although as with DirectX 12 I think it's more up to the developers to implement a solution so it will be more work but there's potential for excellent scaling and minimized stuttering. :)
(And some different modes from AFR, even mixed AMD/Nvidia GPU compatibility although I personally don't see that being used that frequently but we'll see.)

Well I couldnt wait and I tried flyvnp, worked without a issue.

The game runs great, I've set all to max (inc. nightmare), ok except postAA to SMAA (the sharpest) and it was vsynced @ DSR 1440p all the time.

At 1440p, it uses ~4300MB, so I can safely say 6GB is plenty. System ram ~ 7.6GB.

    vram usage @ Ultra/nightmare.

Look at what Jonas wrote. I have nightmare settings but the option is only on 2 settings, shadows and cache.

@Tj...do you have option for postt AA and msaa?

Sorry, I thought you had extra aa options. Do you not like the highest AA method?

Yes I have up to SSA TX something 8x

but its too blurry loses reflections.. Even normal SMAA (1xTX) is too blurry. was the same in beta, with DSR and plain SMAA looks perfect and DSR hides those extra edges..

Nope. Just looks blurry and for me personally ugly, I rather have a jaggie or two with clear image then blur :D. I can post screen comparisons now

Hey so does the game support Vulkan readily? I thought it'd be patched in later.

2, I didnt tweak anything to unlock limitations like by Jonas with 4GB vram.:)

Also vram didnt change , stayed ~ 4313MB

btw I edited my post and added pics.. See how floor loses reflections and gets "mushy" look.

Ok it uses up to 5.4GB @ nightmare textures later on @ 2880x1620p..
Still nothing special imo, I've seen RoTR or even old COD Ghosts eat up to 6GB...
Its just allocation cache streaming. Chill people no need to freakout if it uses all gpu vram. :D

Shadows at nightmare doesnt affect vram, just gpu usage.. ~4fps difference ultra vs nightmare..

Also SMAA isn't so effective as I thought, but its sharpness is the best. At 2880x1620p DSR looks a lot better, but this is a bit too much for single 980Ti.

    This is @ 1620p

Nightmare makes them more defined and less blurry.
