I don't think that's what hemeans he meant maybe the weapons feel lighter compared to wolfenstein the new order I hope not since I want this game to have the same shooting mechanics as wolfenstein

Actually the "new" map Pistola (the screen i took that you accused me its not fair comparison) is very well done. You should try it sometimes. ;)

Just tested 2880x1620 DSR for the first time and 60fps vsync is still ok (now in ~ 80-98% gpu usage all the time).. lol sometimes I just underestimate 980ti raw performance at factory OC 1405mhz/7240mhz, guess because all of this gpu trash talk lately :p

That's purely for gameplay, map geometry is kept simple to stop you getting snagged on things.

Plus you can wall run in UT4.

Well, why don't we just compare HALO's MP to CoD's. ;)

The Doom MP is a different beast then UT.
And, visually, I prefer Doom. The more colorful, more interesting settings draw me in more. Yeah, UT looks pretty... woo... cause we've never seen a pretty shooter before.

    If it does I'm sold.
Hell, I haven't been disappointed by the player movement of an id game ever.
They have a sense of weight to them that other engines simply don't.

Three ~20min sessions (in the past two days) of waiting for a match and no luck whatsoever. WTF?

I rather enjoyed the Beta, guess I am the ignorant casual the Multiplayer is catered for! I am by no means a competitive player so simple pick up and play is fine by me.

Performance was good, 60FPS pretty much except when it dropped a little during heavy fire scenes. Enabling V-Sync made the FPS go all over so I had to keep it off, however there is some evident screen tear.

Here's hoping the campaign is worth the price of the admission, otherwise its GOTY edition for me in a Steam sale.

Man one question, does it move and shoot like wolfenstein, does it have that feeling of weight of guns and movement? If it isnt i wont get it, i prefer to stay with idtech5 only for those aspects.

From a die-hard Doom fan, this "beta" sucked big time. Boring, repetitive and bland - a true FU from ID to its core fans and fans of the franchise.

Dont get your hopes up, the top steam reviews are all bad and they are 100% correct. I will get this game for SP (if it doesnt have Denuvo :) )
