Yes, dude it is terrible with my 2x6950s 2GB. If I disable crossfire the problem goes away but I lose half my fps, it's a lose-lose. The game in general feels somewhat slow although I'm pulling substantially high fps.

Yeah I get this big time but with CCC 11.8. I can't even use 11.10, I get BSOD and VGA Driver crash.

Getting 11.10 preview drivers working under Vista

What worked for me to get the latest Catalyst 11.10 preview drivers to work under Vista 64 was doing the following:

    1. Uninstall everything AMD/ATI Catalyst Install Manager related in the control panel.

    2. After the reboot, start the installation process for the Catalyst 11.10 preview driver obtained from http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDCatalyst1110Previewdriver.aspx. However, once the driver is unpacked (default location seems to be C:\AMD) cancel out of the installation.

    3. Extract the fix by asder00 found at http://www.mediafire.com/?jkv4o3k9e7o669r into the proper subfolder (...\Packages I believe) located where you just extracted the previous preview drivers.

    4. Run the Setup file located in the AMD\AMD_Catalyst_11.10 base folder that you extracted from step 2.

    5. Install the entire suite, including the display driver that should now be visable during the installation process. You will have to agree to install an unsigned driver during the installation.

This process worked for me to get the 11.10 preview drivers to work under Vista 64. Again, thanks to asder00 for making this possible.

Not the best drivers for me. BlackOps turns off my pc when loading maps :/ 11.8 is fine.. (other than flickering in trifire, which I wouldn't call fine but at least there's a fix by switching to crossfire).

Yep same issue, crossfire 6970's are a fail with bf3 beta and 11.10 drivers.

I was getting the BSOD with 11.10 too. It occurred when I set the in-game settings to 'Ultra', closed the game and went to reopen. I reverted drivers, changed settings back down and upped voltage on my GPU's by .025v+ and no more BSOD with 11.10.

I think we need new drivers.

My crossfire is not scaling any more than a 30%... It should be 99%..

In one place I get 110fps on single HD6970, with both enabled I get 145fps.

There's obviously much more optimizations to do.

One more with the same problem.

Tested, 11.9 rcx, 11.9rc and 11.10 previews, seems (maybe pure placebo), 11.9 rcx it happen less, but still happen and ruin the gameplay.

    6990 and 6970 all 3 99% utiliation.

In CCC, if I turn on enhance aa settings, it will crash or bsod.

In game, I have no names or icons aboce peoples heads and spotting does not work. And remember bfbc2 and the random grass, I get that too where grass is up through concrete where it should not be. Outside performance is odd with a lot of flickers.

Even with 99% Usage, it is not scaling 99%.

Disable all of them and keep the 6970 only, you will get almost similar fps, maybe a 30% slower at most.

We should be getting A LOT MORE fps once better drivers are out.
