Hi Folks! This is my first thread so please be patient and relaxed if I don't get something straight or need a further explanation of anything. So let's get to it: I'm in desperate search for a monitor to use in a dual monitor setup. I'll be using this monitor primarily for watching movies, keep that in mind. I currently have a budget of about 700$ and would prefer to get a monitor that hasn't been around for a year or so, meaning I don't want it to be outgraded quickly. 4K would be nice too as my GPU supports it. If a model comes to your mind straight away please feel free to post it's name as I'd like to have a wide range of options, from which we can hopefully make out the best one for my uses and price range. Thank's for taking your time. On a side note I'm a 17yo student from Austria, so please don't be too harsh on my english, just kindly correct me if something is wrong
The Dell P2715Q (around $550): http://www.amazon.com/Dell-Monitor-P2715Q-27-Inch-LED-Lit/dp/B00PC9HFO8 review: http://www.digitaltrends.com/monitor-reviews/dell-p2715q-review/ Slightly above your budget ($750) but looks like a decent 4k unit: http://www.amazon.com/ViewSonic-VP2780-4K-27-Inch-Monitor-3840x2160/dp/B00SHZSXVI Review: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/viewsonic_vp2780-4k.htm
for movies nothing beats a 21:9 monitor http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VBNQJSM/ref=psdc_1292115011_t1_B00JR6GCZA there's a 4k version, but 100$ over your budget
http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-list...UTF8&qid=1439822489&sr=1-2&keywords=3440x1440 This is the cheapest 3440x1440 monitor. 700$ for a refurb one. There is nothing better for movie watching nowadays. 4k monitors are pointless, cuz 16:9. Maybe a 4k OLED TV tho, but it costs 5000$.
